Onflow Credit
Onflow Credit is credit on your Onflow Ads account. It cannot be withdrawn or transferred and has no cash value. You can spend it on Verified audit reports, Brand Safety scans, Syndicate licences, Pulse polls and Brand Lift studies. Under the Terms it may be used only for Verified audit reports, Syndicate licences, Pulse polls, Brand Lift studies and Brand Safety scans, where and when we offer them.
Anyone can read what Onflow Credit pays for, without an account, on the public Onflow Credit page.
Onflow Credit works the same way on every plan. Your plan can change how much some sources pay, never what the credit is.
What Onflow Credit isβ
Onflow Credit sits next to your wallet balance, but it is not money in your wallet. Three rules describe it:
- It cannot be withdrawn. There is no way to turn it into cash.
- It cannot be transferred. It stays on the account that earned it.
- It has no cash value. It is not part of your wallet balance, and it pays only for the features listed under the next heading.
The wallet page shows your balance on the Onflow Credit tile, and your wallet lists every entry that changed it.
Where you can spend Onflow Creditβ
You can spend Onflow Credit on five things today:
- Onflow Verified audit reports. A dated report on a listed channel's Onflow Verified score. See Onflow Verified for advertisers.
- Brand Safety scans. A check of a channel's recent posts against your brand profile. See Scans and verdicts.
- Syndicate licences. The Syndicate fee, Onflow's part of a licence to republish another member's post in your channel. The owner's share is paid in cash. See Request a Syndicate licence.
- Pulse polls. The 15% Pulse fee, Onflow's part of a brand poll or a headline test. The host fees are paid in cash. See Pricing and the cap.
- Brand Lift studies. The study fee and the 15% Pulse fee on its polls. The host fees are paid in cash. See Brand Lift.
The wallet page lists, next to your Onflow Credit balance, exactly where it can be spent right now. If one of these is paused for a while, it leaves that list until it is back.
How a purchase uses itβ
When you buy an audit report, a scan, a licence, a poll or a study, the quote shows the price, how much comes from Onflow Credit and how much from your wallet, before you confirm. Onflow Credit is used first; if it does not cover the whole price, the rest comes from your wallet.
Onflow Credit pays only Onflow's own part of a purchase. On a Pulse poll or a Brand Lift study that is the 15% Pulse fee and the study fee; on a paid Syndicate licence it is the Syndicate fee. The part that is paid on to another member, a host's fee or a source owner's share, must be paid from your wallet balance. If your wallet balance does not cover that part, the purchase is refused before anything is charged, whatever your Onflow Credit balance, and the message says how much to top up, for example: "Host fees are paid from your wallet balance; Onflow Credit pays only Onflow's part. Top up $X to launch this poll." Reports and scans included in your plan cost nothing and use no Onflow Credit.
Onflow Credit from a deposit bonus or a referral commission can be spent once the top-up behind it can no longer be refunded. Until then the quote shows it as pending and does not use it.
If a purchase is refunded, each part goes back where it came from: the Onflow Credit part returns as Onflow Credit, never as money you can withdraw. A host's fee or an owner's share comes back to your wallet, because it was paid in cash. When Onflow keeps its 15% of a Pulse poll (the host deleted it early, or your dispute was upheld), the Onflow Credit that paid it stays spent. See Pricing and the cap.
A brand's or host's early release of a payout releases only cash, never Onflow Credit.
Onflow Credit cannot pay for a plan, a Paid Promotions booking or any other product. Those are paid from your wallet balance.
Where Onflow Credit comes fromβ
Six things pay Onflow Credit into your account. Each movement is recorded with a label that says where it came from.
| Source | What it is |
|---|---|
| Referral commission | Your share of a top-up made by someone you referred. See The Referral Programme. |
| Cross-Promotion clean-run reward | Paid to the member who created a campaign when the run completes cleanly, on Lite and above. See Cross-promotion rules, limits and fair play. |
| Subscriber Exchange delivery floor make-good | Paid on Ultimate when a finished cycle of a broadcast ad delivered clearly fewer placements than it could have. See The Delivery Floor on Ultimate. |
| Deposit bonus | A bonus paid as Onflow Credit on a wallet top-up, when a bonus is running. See Bonuses on a wallet top-up. |
| Restore after a cheat case | Credit taken from you in a cheat case, returned when the decision is overturned. |
| Grant from Onflow Ads | Credit Onflow Ads grants you, for example as goodwill or as compensation. Every grant is recorded with its reason, which your wallet shows next to the entry (section 30.2). |
When Onflow Credit is taken backβ
Onflow Credit goes down when the thing that earned it is undone. A refunded top-up takes back the referral commission or the deposit bonus it earned, and a reward can be reversed when the decision behind it changes. A reversal never takes your Onflow Credit below zero.
