Currencies and Exchange Rates

Every Onflow Ads wallet is denominated in US Dollars. This page explains what that means in practice, how to view your balance in your own currency, and the one place where a real conversion happens.

Why you would use this

  • To read your balance in the currency you actually think in.
  • To understand what a UPI or card top-up will cost you in rupees.
  • To check the rate that was applied to a past top-up.

Your money is held in USD

Prices across the platform, your Activity ledger, withdrawals and refunds are all recorded in USD. Only two things involve another currency:

What happens
DisplayYou can view your Total balance converted to another currency, purely for readability. Nothing about your money changes.
UPI and card billingIndian UPI and card payments are billed in Indian Rupees and converted to USD at the live rate when the payment starts. This is the only real conversion in the product.

Crypto top-ups, withdrawals and refunds involve no conversion on our side — they are handled in USD end to end.

Step by step: change your display currency

  1. Sign in and open https://onflowads.com/telegram/dashboard/wallet.
  2. Next to the Total balance heading, open the Display currency selector. Each option shows a symbol and a code, for example "$ USD" or "₹ INR".
  3. Pick a currency. The Total balance figure immediately re-renders in it at the current exchange rate.
The choice is per browser, not per account

Your selection is remembered in the browser you made it in. Signing in on a different device, a different browser, or a private window starts again at US Dollar until you change it there too — and clearing site data resets it.

Switching the display currency never changes what you hold, what you pay, or what you are paid. It is a live conversion of your USD balance for readability. Amounts in the Activity list, in withdrawals, in refund quotes and on invoices always remain in USD.

What the switcher does and does not affect

Affected by the switcherNot affected
The large Total balance figureThe Withdrawable, Boost Credits and Total (USD) stat tiles, which are always in USD
—The Activity ledger, always in USD
—The My withdrawals list, always in USD
—The amounts you enter when topping up, which use the method's own currency
—Refund quotes, always in USD
—Invoices, which use the currency you were billed in

One helpful exception: if your display currency is INR while you prepare a cryptocurrency top-up (billed in USD), the page adds a line showing the approximate rupee total at today's rate — "Shown in USD — ā‰ˆ ₹9,000 total at today's rate (your display currency is INR)." That is a convenience estimate only; the invoice is in USD.

Where the rates come from

  • Rates are fetched from live market sources and cached for about six hours, so the switcher is fast and consistent.
  • If the primary source is briefly unavailable, a secondary source is used; if both are unavailable, a stored fallback table is used so the switcher always works.
  • Because rates are cached and refreshed periodically, a displayed conversion is an accurate recent figure rather than a to-the-second market quote.

Exchange rates and UPI or card top-ups

This is the only place a conversion actually moves your money:

  1. You enter the amount you want added, in rupees.
  2. That figure — the amount being added, never the fee-inclusive total — is converted to USD.
  3. The rate is locked at the moment you start the payment and stamped onto the order. If the market moves while you are paying, your credit does not change.
  4. The rate is shown in the breakdown before you pay, for example "converted at 1 USD = ₹86.00", and printed again on your receipt and PDF invoice.
If the live rate is unavailable, a rupee top-up stops rather than guesses

A UPI or card top-up needs a live rate to promise you a credit. If it cannot be read, the breakdown shows "Live exchange rate is loading — please try again in a moment." and the pay button stays disabled; attempting to start anyway returns "The exchange rate is briefly unavailable. Please try again shortly."

Wait a minute and retry — this is rare and momentary. A crypto top-up needs no rate at all, so it is unaffected.

Rules and edge cases

  • Rounding. Converted figures are rounded to two decimal places. The ₹1,000.00 minimum makes it impossible for a top-up to convert to less than one cent in practice.
  • Withdrawals are quoted and paid in USD. If your payout method settles in another currency, the receiving service applies its own rate — that conversion is outside Onflow Ads and we cannot quote it.
  • Refund quotes are in USD. A UPI or card refund is returned to your original payment method, and your bank or provider converts it back to rupees at their rate on the day.
  • Your display currency has no effect on prices. Everyone pays the same USD price for the same service.

FAQ

Does switching currency cost anything? No. It is a display setting.

Why is my balance in dollars when I paid in rupees? So that prices are identical for every customer worldwide. The rupees you paid were converted once, at a locked rate, and the receipt records it.

Can I hold a rupee balance instead? No — there is a single USD wallet per account. You can display it in rupees at any time.

Which currency will my bank charge me in? Whatever the checkout collected: rupees if you paid by UPI or card, and the coin you chose if you paid in crypto. Your bank or exchange may add its own conversion on top of that, which is outside our control.
