Why You Must Connect
Onflow Ads asks every account created since 24 August 2026 to be reachable on both Telegram and email before it can open Paid Promotions, Cross-Promotion, Boost Metrics, the Subscriber Exchange, or enlist a channel. If you hit a full-page screen headed Connect Telegram to continue or Add your email to continue, this page is what it is asking for and why.
The requirement is symmetric, and which half you meet depends on how your account was created:
- You signed up with an email address. You already have a verified inbox. What is missing is the bot, so you connect it.
- You signed in with Telegram. You already have the Telegram side. What is missing is a real inbox, so you add an email address and confirm it with a 6-digit code.
Either way you finish reachable on two independent channels, which is the whole point.
Every flow sends you things you have to actually receive: a campaign was confirmed, an order needs proof, a partner asked for a change, a payout cleared. An account nobody can reach silently misses all of it β and on a two-sided campaign it strands the other party as well as you. The site would rather ask once, at the beginning, than fail quietly later.
Before you startβ
- A Telegram account, if you signed up with an email. You do not need to search for the bot β the screen opens it for you.
- An email address you can read right now, if you signed in with Telegram. The code arrives within a minute or two.
- Nothing else. There is no fee, no form and no plan requirement. The requirement is identical on every plan.
Step by step β connecting Telegram (email signups)β
The screen is headed Connect Telegram to continue, with the lead "Onflow Ads runs on Telegram. Start the bot once and we'll link it to your account β it takes a couple of seconds and you only ever do it here." Under it are three points: order updates, delivery proof and payout alerts reach you instantly; campaign partners can reach you when something needs a decision; your channels verify automatically, with no manual proof step.
- Press Open Telegram and connect. Telegram opens in a new tab or in the app, on a chat with the Onflow Ads bot carrying a one-time connection link.
- Back on the website the button re-labels itself Reopen Telegram and the status line reads "In Telegram, tap Start, then Yes, connect itβ¦". Leave the page open β it checks for you every few seconds.
- In Telegram, tap Start. The bot answers Connect this Telegram?, names the account the link belongs to (its email, partly hidden), and waits. Tap Yes, connect it β nothing is linked until you do. If the account it names is not yours, someone sent you their link: ignore it.
- The bot replies Telegram connected β "Your Telegram is now linked to your Onflow Ads account. You will get order updates, payment alerts and rewards right here."
- The website page notices and moves you on by itself. There is nothing to copy, type or paste.
If the link sits unused for more than ten minutes, or you open it twice, the bot answers Link expired. Press the button again for a fresh one β nothing is lost.
Step by step β adding an email (Telegram sign-ins)β
The screen is headed Add your email to continue, with the lead "Your Telegram is already connected. Add an email address so we have a second way to reach you β we'll send a 6-digit code to confirm it." Its two points are that receipts, invoices and payout records land in your inbox, and that you can recover your account if you ever lose Telegram access.
- Type your address into the email field and press Send me a code.
- Check your inbox. A 6-digit code arrives; the page swaps to a code field.
- Enter the code and press Confirm and continue.
- You are through, and your account now has a real address on it instead of the placeholder one.
If you typed the address wrong, press Use a different address to go back a step.
When you sign in with Telegram and no account exists yet, one is created for you on the spot with a placeholder address in the form tg<your telegram id>@tg.onflowads.com. Nothing is delivered to it β there is no inbox behind that domain. Adding your own address is what replaces it, and the moment you do, the requirement is satisfied automatically. There is no separate "onboarding complete" flag to chase.
What is behind the wall, and what stays openβ
The requirement guards new commitments. It never blocks you from finishing or leaving something you have already started, because doing so would strand a partner who did nothing wrong.
| Area | Behind the requirement? |
|---|---|
| The Telegram dashboard and everything under it β Paid Promotions, Cross-Promotion, Boost Metrics, the Subscriber Exchange, your channels | Yes |
| Starting something new β creating a campaign, listing a channel, placing an order | Yes |
| Joining someone else's campaign, bidding in an auction, checking out a curated bundle | Yes β these are new commitments even though they name an existing thing |
| Acting on something you are already a party to β approving a partner's post, cancelling before go-live, responding to a booking | No, never |
| Support, the support widget, and your own account page | No |
| Your wallet, your plan and the legal pages | No |
| Notification settings | No |
A cross-promotion only goes ahead once both sides have built their post and both reviews are accepted. Blocking one party's approval would kill the campaign for both of them, silently, and both would carry the missed window. So per-campaign and per-order actions are deliberately outside the wall, whatever state your own account is in.
Who is exemptβ
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account was created before 24 August 2026, 19:00 UTC | You are never walled. You are still prompted β the Telegram card stays on your account page β but you can use every flow without connecting. |
| Your account is a testing account | Waived. This is set by an administrator only; you cannot grant it to yourself. |
| Everything else | The requirement applies. |
The date is a historical fact, not a setting that shifts forward. Moving it would wall a group of members who have already been let in, so it stays where it is.
Being connected is not the same as being loudβ
The requirement establishes a channel we can reach you on. It does not commit you to a stream of messages.
Once you are through, open Notifications at onflowads.com/telegram/dashboard/notifications and turn Telegram delivery down β per category, or entirely. Muting never unlinks you, so the one-account-to-one-Telegram pairing survives it. See Notifications from the Bot.
One Telegram account links to one Onflow Ads account, and one Onflow Ads account to one Telegram account. There is no self-service unlink, and no administrator action that moves a link from one account to another. The only thing that frees a Telegram account for re-use is closing the Onflow Ads account it is attached to, which you request through the support desk.
Connect the Telegram account you actually intend to keep using.
If something goes wrongβ
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Link expired in the bot | The one-time connection link was more than ten minutes old, or had already been used | Return to the gate screen and press the button again for a fresh link |
| Already connected elsewhere in the bot | That Telegram account is already linked to a different Onflow Ads account | Sign in to that account instead. You cannot move a link between accounts yourself β if it sits on the wrong account, ask support, and the team can unlink it |
| Account already linked in the bot | The Onflow Ads account you are signed in to already has a different Telegram on it | You are already through the requirement on that account; the extra Telegram is not needed |
| "Waiting for you to tap Start in Telegramβ¦" never changes | The chat opened but Start was not pressed, or Telegram did not deliver the deep link | Press Reopen Telegram, tap Start in the chat, then refresh the page |
| The code never arrives | The address was mistyped, or the message is in a spam folder | Check spam, then press Use a different address and try again |
| You are still walled after connecting | The page is showing a cached verdict | Refresh the page. If it persists, open the support desk β support is never behind the wall |
The one group of people who most need help are the ones who cannot get in. Support, the support widget and your account page are deliberately outside the requirement, so you are never stuck with no way to ask.
