Troubleshooting Syndicate
This page lists what can go wrong with Syndicate. Find what you see and follow the fix under it.
Your libraryβ
These cards are for the channel owner: adding posts, the library limit and translations.
I cannot add a post from my channelβ
-
Where you see it:
On the Add to library panel, with a reason under the post.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The bot is not an administrator with Post Messages and Invite Users via Link in that channel, the channel restricts saving content, or the post is an album, a poll, paid media or a service message.
-
How to fix it:
Give the bot both rights, switch off Restrict saving content in the channel's Telegram settings, or pick a different post.
"This post can't be licensed: with the attribution line it would beβ¦"β
-
Where you see it:
On the Add to library panel, after you pick a post.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post plus its attribution line would be longer than Telegram allows. The message names the most the post itself may have and how many characters to cut.
-
How to fix it:
Shorten the post in your channel by the number shown, then add it again.
A post in my library is pausedβ
-
Where you see it:
On the Library tab, where the post reads Paused.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You paused it, or your plan changed and the library holds more posts than the new plan allows.
-
How to fix it:
Remove other posts or move to a plan with a bigger library, then resume it. Paused posts are never deleted.
I cannot approve a translationβ
-
Where you see it:
On a translation draft, with a message saying how many characters it is over.
-
Plans affected:
Lite and above.
-
Why it happens:
With the attribution line added, the translation is longer than Telegram allows for a post or a caption.
-
How to fix it:
Reject the draft with a note. The licence cannot be published in that language as it stands.
Requests and licencesβ
These cards are for the host: requests that were refused or expired, and licences that ended.
My request was refused as too longβ
-
Where you see it:
On the request panel, with the number of characters over the limit.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post plus its attribution line would be longer than Telegram allows.
-
How to fix it:
Choose another post or language. The length of a listed post cannot be changed by the host.
"The post owner's share is paid from your wallet balance"β
-
Where you see it:
Under the licence quote, and when you press Request and pay: "The post owner's share is paid from your wallet balance; Onflow Credit pays only Onflow's fee. Top up $X to request this licence."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Onflow Credit can pay only the Syndicate fee. The owner's share must be paid in cash, and your wallet balance does not cover it.
-
How to fix it:
Top up at least the amount shown, then get the quote again. See Ask for a licence.
My request expiredβ
-
Where you see it:
On the Licences tab, where the request reads Expired or Declined.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The owner declined, or did not answer in time.
-
How to fix it:
Nothing to do: the full price came back, each part to its pocket: the owner's share to your wallet, the Syndicate fee as Onflow Credit and wallet in the mix it was paid in.
My licence ended with a breachβ
-
Where you see it:
On the Licences tab, where the licence reads Ended, and on your reliability page.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The attribution line was removed or changed, or the post was deleted before the minimum period ended.
-
How to fix it:
If it was a mistake on our side, appeal the penalty from your reliability page. See Syndicate breaches.
Still stuck?β
Ask in the support chat and quote the licence ID, which starts with OFSL, or the item ID, which starts with OFSY.
