Syndicate translations

A host can ask for your post in another language you allowed. The text is translated by AI into a draft, and nothing is published in that language until you approve the draft.

Available on Lite and above

Each plan from Lite up includes a number of AI translations each calendar month; see Syndicate for the numbers. A draft uses the allowance of the member who asks for it: you, for a post in your library, or the host, for its licence.

How a translation is made

  1. A host requests your post in one of the languages you allowed, other than the post's own. The host asks for an AI draft from its licence, or you ask for one from your library.
  2. The AI drafts a translation of the text or caption. Links, bold and italic are kept; other formatting becomes plain text.
  3. The draft waits for you on the Licences tab, next to the original.

Each draft uses one translation from the monthly allowance of the member who asked for it. A translation that fails is not counted. When that allowance for the month is used, that member can't ask for another draft until the next calendar month. A translation you approve is reused for every licence of the post in that language, so each language is drafted once.

Approve or reject a draft

Read the draft under the original post and press Approve or Reject. You may add a note when you reject. Only an approved translation is published, and the host cannot change it.

The length check

A translation can be longer than the original. When you approve it, the draft is checked again with the attribution line added. If it would not fit in a Telegram post, the page says by how many characters, and the draft cannot be approved.

What is sent to the AI

Only the text or caption of the post and the target language. See the Privacy Policy.
