Repost radar

Repost radar looks for copies of your library posts in other channels on Onflow Ads that were posted without a licence. It tells the channel that copied the post how to put it right, and, on plans that include alerts, it tells you.

Available on Plus and above

Radar alerts to the source owner start at Plus. A channel that copied a post is told about the match on every plan.

Where radar looks

Radar compares the fingerprints of new posts with the posts in Syndicate libraries. It looks only at channels connected to Onflow Ads whose owners switched Post fingerprints on. It never reads channels outside Onflow Ads. See Channel facts and your consent.

A match is a post with the same picture or video, or text that is nearly the same. Very short texts are not matched. Radar leaves out channels that hold a licence for the post, your own channels, and any post published before yours.

What happens on a match

  • The channel that copied the post is told which library post it matches and offered two ways to put it right: add the attribution line, or take a licence. If it is not a copy, they can say so in one tap, and our team reviews it.
  • You get an alert on the Radar tab, if your plan includes radar alerts.

Radar never penalises anyone by itself. A match is a hint, not a finding; nobody's reliability score changes because of it. If someone copied your work and does not put it right, you can make a copyright complaint. See Copyright complaints.

Plus plan Β· Channel owner β€” repost radar alerts 1 An alert about a copy of your post: Dismiss closes it. 2 An alert about a post in your channel: I added the attribution line, Take a licence or It's my own work.

On a plan without radar alerts you still see alerts about posts in your own channels.

Free plan Β· Channel owner β€” alerts about copies of your posts come with Plus Alerts about your own channel's posts still show.

Alert states

An alert reads Open until something happens. It reads Attribution line added when the copier tells us they added the attribution line, Dismissed when you close it, or Not a copy when our team finds it was not a copy.
