Your Syndicate library

Your library holds the posts you offer for licensing. This page explains which posts can be added, what the bot needs in the source channel, and what happens to your library if your plan changes.

Available on every plan β€” limits differ

Every plan has a library. The plan sets how many posts it holds at once; see Syndicate for the numbers.

What the source channel needs

You can add posts only from a public channel (one with an @username) that you connected to Onflow Ads and own; Onflow Ads reads the post from the channel's public page. Posts in a private channel cannot be listed. In that channel, @OnflowAdsBot must be an administrator with two rights:

  • Post Messages, so the bot can copy the post for each host.
  • Invite Users via Link, so the bot can create the tracked invite link for the attribution line.

A channel with Restrict saving content switched on in Telegram cannot be a source, because Telegram does not let its posts be copied. Switch it off in the channel's settings first.

Which posts can be listed

A post can be listed if it is text, a photo, a video, an animation, a document or an audio file. These cannot be listed:

  • albums (several pictures or videos sent together)
  • polls
  • paid media
  • service messages, such as a pinned-message notice

A listed post must also fit Telegram's limit together with its attribution line. Telegram allows 4,096 characters in a text post and 1,024 characters in a caption, and the line takes the words "Source:", your channel's name and "Join", after a blank line. A post that cannot fit is refused when you add it, and the message says how many characters the post itself may have. See Telegram's posting limits for ads.

The page says why a post cannot be listed when you pick it.

Add a post

Every channel's page in the Telegram dashboard has a card for this.

Elite plan Β· Channel owner β€” Add to library on a channel's dashboard 1 Add to library opens the panel with this channel chosen.

  1. Open the channel's page in the Telegram dashboard and press Add to library, or open the Library tab on the Syndicate page and pick the channel.
  2. Paste the post's link (in Telegram, open the post and choose Copy link), or type the post's number. Onflow Ads reads the post from the channel's public page, so only posts in a public channel can be listed.
  3. Tick the consent box. It confirms the post is your own post in a channel you own, and lets Onflow Ads keep its words, formatting and link preview settings to republish it, unchanged except for the attribution line.
  4. Set the terms (see Licence terms) and press Add to library.

What is kept about a listed post

Onflow Ads keeps the post's text or caption, its formatting and link preview setting, and a fingerprint of its media, for as long as the post is in your library. Removing the post from your library deletes its stored text, formatting, link preview setting and translations, and repost radar stops looking for copies of it. Licences already published stay where the hosts published them.

When your library is full

Your plan sets how many posts the library holds. When it is full, remove a post or move to a plan with a bigger library. If your plan drops below the number of posts you have, nothing is deleted or paused: the newest posts over the limit stay live but read-only, so their terms can't be changed, and no new post can be added. Licences already granted continue. Remove a post or move back up to edit them again.

Pause or remove a post

Pause stops new licence requests and keeps the post and its terms; licences already requested or granted go on as before. Remove takes the post out of your library for good and deletes its stored text, as described above. Requests and licences that are not yet published are cancelled and their hosts refunded; licences already published run their course. If you delete the source post from your channel, remove it from your library too.
