Approving Syndicate requests
When a host asks to republish one of your posts, the request waits for you on the Licences tab, unless your auto-approve rules grant it at once. This page explains how to answer, and how a paid licence pays you.
Requests, approvals and payouts work the same way on every plan.
Answer a requestβ
Open the Licences tab on the Syndicate page. Each request shows the host channel, its category and Onflow Verified badge, the language asked for and the frozen price. Press Approve or Decline.
Elite plan Β· Channel owner β licence requests for your posts 1 The state, here Waiting for a decision. 2 Approve, next to Decline. 3 A live licence's dates: requested, approved, published, how long it must stay up and when the money can be released.
The host paid when they asked. If you decline, or the request is not answered in time, it expires and the host gets their money back. A declined request costs you nothing.
The life of a licenceβ
Diagram Each badge on the Licences tab is one of these states.
- Requested. The host has paid and is waiting for you.
- Approved. The bot will publish the post in the host channel.
- Held. The source post changed after it was listed, so publishing waits while the host is asked whether to go ahead.
- Live. The post is up with its attribution line, for its minimum period (its live window).
- Completed. The live window ended with the post in place. Your payout date is set.
- Ended. The host broke the licence. You are still paid; the host is not refunded.
- Declined, Expired, Cancelled or Failed. The licence did not go ahead, and the host got their money back.
When you are paidβ
A paid licence follows the same payout rule as every order on Onflow Ads. The licence completes when its live window ends: the post has stayed up for its minimum period, or the host broke the licence sooner. Your payout lands 7 days after it completes, in your wallet, as normal withdrawable earnings less the Syndicate fee, unless the host opens a dispute within 72 hours of that time. Both dates show on the licence and in the notice you get when the live window ends.
If your reliability band is lower when the payout is due, it waits longer: 10 days (Watch), 14 days (Restricted) or 21 days (Frozen). The band is read when the payout is due, so recovering before then gives you the shorter wait. While you are new to licensing, payouts also wait until a week has passed since your first licence was published. No plan, support request or admin action pays a licence sooner.
Hosts pay your share in cash; Onflow Credit can pay only the Syndicate fee. Only on a licence bought before these rules, if the host paid part of your share with Onflow Credit, is that part held for longer before it can be withdrawn. Nothing is paid while a complaint or dispute about the licence is open. A dispute is decided by a person on our team: you are paid in full, in part, or the host is refunded.
The host may also release the payout to you early, once our check has seen the post live in their channel. Only cash that has cleared is released early; on a licence bought before these rules, any part paid with Onflow Credit follows the usual date. See Syndicate payouts for hosts.
If the source post is deletedβ
Keep the source post in your channel. If it is deleted before the bot publishes the host's copy, the licence cannot go ahead and the host is refunded. If a copyright complaint about the post is upheld, every licence for it ends and its hosts are refunded. See Copyright complaints.
