Keeping the attribution line

A licence asks two things of the host: keep the post up for the minimum period, and keep its attribution line, unchanged, for as long as the post is up.

The same on every plan

These rules are the same on every plan, for free and paid licences alike.

The minimum period

Keep the post and its attribution line in place for at least 72 hours after it is published. After that you may delete the post. The attribution line stays for as long as the post is up.

What the bot watches

By taking a licence you agree that the bot watches that post in your channel while the licence lasts. It checks:

  • Edits. When the post is edited, the bot checks that the attribution line's link is still in it. It reads only the link addresses in the post, not its words.
  • Deletion. During the minimum period the bot checks now and then that the post is still there.

To do this the bot records fingerprints of the posts published or edited in your channel while the licence lasts, even if Post fingerprints is off for your channel. Onflow Ads uses them only to check the licensed post, and repost radar does not use them. See Channel facts and your consent.

Keep the post as published

Keep the post as the bot published it. Pinning it is fine. Do not remove the attribution line, change its link, or delete the post early. See Syndicate breaches for what happens if you do.
