Syndicate FAQ

Short answers about Syndicate, with links to the full pages.

Licences and money

These questions cover what a licence costs, how it is paid and when the owner is paid.

Can I pay for a licence with Onflow Credit?

Only for Onflow's part, the Syndicate fee. The owner's share must be paid from your wallet balance. The quote shows the split before you send the request: Onflow Credit toward the Syndicate fee first, the owner's share in cash. Without enough cash for the owner's share you cannot request the licence. See Onflow Credit.

Why can't Onflow Credit pay the owner's share?

Onflow Credit pays only Onflow's own fees. The owner's share is paid on to another member as money they can withdraw, so it must be paid in cash. Refunds follow the same split: the owner's share comes back to your wallet, the Syndicate fee to the pockets that paid it.

When am I charged for a licence?

When you send the request. The money is held, and comes back in full if the owner declines or does not answer in time. See Request a Syndicate licence.

How much does Onflow Ads take?

The Syndicate fee is taken from the owner's side of a paid licence; the host pays the listed price. A free licence has no fee. See Syndicate.

When does the owner get paid?

The payout lands 7 days after the licence completes (when its live window ends), as normal earnings less the fee, unless the host disputes it within 72 hours. A lower reliability band waits longer. See Approving Syndicate requests.

Can I dispute a licence I paid for?

Yes, as the host, within 72 hours after the licence's live window ends, with a reason and evidence. See Syndicate payouts for hosts.

The attribution line

These questions cover the attribution line that every republished post carries, free or paid.

Can I publish a licensed post without the attribution line?

No. Every republished post carries it, free or paid, on every plan. Removing it ends the licence without a refund and lowers your reliability score. See Syndicate breaches.

Can I repost someone's post without a licence if I add the attribution line myself?

Only the owner can let you republish their post. Ask for a licence; many posts are free. If repost radar finds a copy, the channel is asked to add the attribution line or take a licence. See Repost radar.

Is anyone paid for joining through the attribution line?

No. Joins through the link are counted for the source channel's growth figures. Nobody is paid or rewarded for joining.

Why can't I add a long post to my library?

Every republished post carries the attribution line, and the post plus the line must fit Telegram's limit. Telegram allows 4,096 characters in a text post and 1,024 characters in a caption. A post that cannot fit with the line is refused when you add it, with the number of characters it is over. See Telegram's posting limits for ads.

Translations and radar

These questions cover AI translations of a listed post and the alerts repost radar sends.

Who approves a translation?

The owner of the post, before anything is published in that language. See Syndicate translations.

Does repost radar punish anyone?

No. A match is a hint. Nobody's score changes because of radar, and a copier can say a match is not a copy. See Repost radar.

Does radar read channels outside Onflow Ads?

No. It looks only at connected channels whose owners switched Post fingerprints on.
