Syndicate copyright complaints

If a post in someone's Syndicate library, or a copy of it, uses your work without your permission, you can make a copyright complaint. A person on our team decides every complaint.

The same on every plan

Anyone can make a copyright complaint, on every plan.

Make a complaint

Write to support from the support chat or a ticket, and say it is a copyright complaint. Include:

  • the ID of the library item (it starts with OFSY) or a link to the post
  • what your work is and where it was first published
  • why you hold the rights to it

You get a complaint ID that starts with OFYC. Quote it in any follow-up. See Your Onflow Ads IDs.

How it is decided

Our team reviews the complaint and may ask the listing owner for their side. While a complaint is open, payments for licences of that post are held.

If the complaint is upheld

  • The item is taken down from the library and cannot be licensed again.
  • Every licence for it ends, and each host is refunded, each part to its pocket: the owner's share to the wallet, the Syndicate fee as Onflow Credit and wallet in the mix it was paid in.
  • The listing owner's reliability score drops, under the penalty Copyright complaint upheld.
  • Money the listing owner was already paid for the item can be recovered from their earnings.

If the complaint is rejected, nothing changes and held payments are released on their usual schedule.
