Reporting an answer or a conversation
Every reply in the help widget carries a Report control, and any conversation can be
reported as a whole from the ⋯ menu. Use it when an answer was wrong, told you to do
something that is not possible, missed the question, or was out of line.
Reporting is not the same as the thumbs, and not the same as the end-of-chat rating. A rating is counted. A report is read by a person, in a queue our team works through.
Before you start
- Reporting is open to everyone, signed in or not.
- It is never metered — a report does not spend an AI message from your allowance.
- It does not fetch a person. To reach one, say "talk to a person" — see Asking for a person.
- It does not change the conversation. Nothing is deleted, reopened or escalated by the act of reporting.
A conversation answered by a teammate can be reported exactly like one answered by Onflow AI, and so can an individual reply a teammate wrote. You should not have to know which of them you were talking to in order to say that something was wrong.
Reporting one answer
The controls under an answer are, left to right: 👍, 👎, Copy, and the flag. Press the flag and a short form opens under the conversation.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Press the flag under the answer | A form opens in the thread — nothing covers the conversation, and you can still read the answer you are reporting |
| Pick a reason | One of the six below. The first is selected, so a report is two taps if you are in a hurry |
| Add a note (optional) | Up to 1,000 characters, for anything the reason does not cover |
| Press Send report | It goes to the team's queue with the answer attached. Cancel closes the form and sends nothing |
The six reasons
| Reason | Use it when |
|---|---|
| The answer was wrong | The facts in it are not right |
| It told me to do something that isn't possible | It described a button, page or setting that does not exist |
| It didn't answer what I asked | It answered something else, or answered nothing |
| The tone was wrong | It was rude, dismissive or inappropriate |
| It asked for something it shouldn't have | It asked for a password, a code or anything else it has no business asking for |
| Something else | Anything the five above do not cover — please add a note |
Reporting the whole conversation
Open the ⋯ menu in the widget header and choose Report this conversation. The form is
the same. Use it when no single reply is the problem — when the conversation as a whole went
wrong, or when the trouble was spread across several turns.
What a report does, and does not do
| Does | Does not |
|---|---|
| Put the answer, or the whole thread, in front of a person | Get you a human reply in this conversation — ask for a person for that |
| Keep the conversation from the ordinary 14-day deletion while the report is open | Delete, hide or edit anything you or the assistant wrote |
| Record the reason and your note for the team to work from | Grant a refund, a credit or an exception — see the Terms |
| Get counted, every time — the same answer can be reported twice for different reasons | Overwrite an earlier report the way a second thumbs-vote overwrites the first |
If money is involved, the route is a dispute or a refund request, not a report about an answer. See Choosing the right support channel.
How long a reported conversation is kept
An AI conversation is normally deleted 14 days after its last message, once its ticket is closed. A conversation you have reported is kept while the report is open — otherwise the thing you reported would be gone before anyone could read it. Once the team closes the report, the ordinary 14-day rule resumes. Reporting delays the deletion; it does not cancel it, and it is not a way to keep a conversation indefinitely.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "That didn't send. Please try again." | The report did not reach us | Press Send report again; nothing was sent, so nothing is duplicated |
| "Network error — nothing was sent." | Your connection dropped mid-send | Check your connection and try again |
| The flag is missing under a reply | That line is not a reply — the welcome line and a few fixed messages carry no controls | Report the conversation from the ⋯ menu instead |
| You reported something by mistake | Nothing to undo | Report it again with Something else and say so in the note; both reports are kept and the team will see the correction |
FAQ
Does reporting an answer get me a human?
No. It puts the answer in front of one, but not in this conversation. Say "talk to a person" to be handed over.
Is it metered?
No. A report never spends an AI message.
Can I report a reply a teammate wrote?
Yes — the control is on every reply, whoever wrote it.
Will I be told what happened?
Not automatically. A report is not a ticket and does not open a thread. If you need an answer, ask for a person or open a ticket.
