Maintenance windows

Occasionally the team takes the site β€” or one section of it β€” offline briefly to ship something or fix something. This is exactly what that looks like from your side, what stays reachable behind it, and why nothing of yours is at risk.

The holding page

During maintenance, an affected page shows a holding page instead of the normal content. It is self-contained, so it renders correctly even though everything behind it is paused.

Top to bottom:

  • The Onflow Ads brand lockup.
  • A pulsing status pill reading Maintenance in progress.
  • The headline We're tuning things up, and beneath it: "Onflow Ads will be back in a few minutes β€” here's a little fuel on growth, business & building a name while you wait."
  • A rotating quote card β€” an attributed quote with a category tag, a progress bar showing how long until the next one, and an arrow to skip ahead.
  • The hint line: "New quote every few seconds Β· β†’ or Space for the next one."
  • The footer: "Watching for the all-clear β€” we'll reconnect you automatically." and "Need us now? [email protected]".

The quote card

  • A new quote appears automatically every few seconds.
  • Press the arrow on the card, the Right Arrow key or the Space bar to skip to the next one.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the animation is toned down and the card swaps without animating.
If the quotes look sparse

The card ships with a curated set and quietly tries to fetch a few more from a public quotations service. A content blocker, a corporate network or a slow connection will stop that request, and the card falls back to the bundled quotes with no error. Nothing else on the page depends on it.

You do not need to keep refreshing

The holding page re-checks the site in the background roughly every 15 seconds and reloads itself into the real site the moment maintenance ends. On the all-clear the pill changes to "Back online β€” reconnecting…" and the page reloads a moment later.

  • Switching to another tab pauses the checking to save battery; it resumes the instant you come back.
  • Reloading by hand does no harm and changes nothing.
Leave the tab open

The page is built to be left alone. Come back to it and you will see either a quote or the page you were trying to reach.

Maintenance is not always site-wide

The team can darken a single area while the rest of the site keeps running. There are exactly six switchable areas:

AreaWhat it covers
Telegram sectionEvery page in the Telegram part of the site.
Telegram dashboardYour Telegram dashboard and every page inside it.
Cross-Promotion dashboardThe Cross-Promotion pages and their background calls.
Boost dashboardThe Boost pages and their background calls.
Subscriber Exchange dashboardThe Subscriber Exchange pages and their background calls.
Paid Promotions dashboardThe Paid Promotions pages and their background calls.

When one section is paused:

  • Pages in that section show the holding page.
  • Background actions in that section return "This section is in maintenance mode β€” please check back shortly." instead of doing anything.
  • Everything else works normally β€” your wallet, the other dashboards, sign-in, the help widget and the contact form.

Pausing one section never catches a page from another section by accident. "One dashboard is down and the rest of the site is fine" is a supported state, not a glitch.

What stays available during maintenance

Stays upWhy it matters
The status pageLive component health and any incident notice β€” see The system status page.
Email to [email protected]Printed on the holding page itself, for anything urgent.
Wallet top-up confirmationsA payment completed moments earlier is still accepted and credited. Maintenance never makes a captured payment go missing.
What the installed app needsIts offline page, its icon and the pieces it updates itself from, so an installed app still updates and still shows its icon.
The files search engines readSo search engines are not told the site vanished.

The incident strip is deliberately injected into the holding page too, so if the team has posted a notice you can read it even while locked out.

What maintenance does not do

Nothing of yours is changed by maintenance

Maintenance pauses access; it does not modify data. Campaigns, orders, balances, listings, channel settings and support conversations are exactly where you left them when the site returns. Nothing is deleted, cancelled or reset.

Timers and schedules keep their own logic. A window is normally a matter of minutes, and the page says so.

A pause in messages and posts

Rarely, the team pauses what the platform sends rather than the pages you visit: emails, messages from the Telegram bot, and posts into channels. It is used for short, deliberate reasons, such as protecting members while a problem with a message is fixed. The site itself stays open, and you can use it as usual.

During a pause:

  • Scheduled messages wait. Emails, bot messages and channel posts the platform sends on its own schedule are held, and go out as soon as the pause ends. A post that was due to come down may stay up a little longer, until the pause ends.
  • Messages set off by what you do may not come. An email sent because of something you just did, such as a welcome email or a sign-in code, and the bot's replies to you, are not sent during a pause and are not sent later. Ask again once it is over.
  • If a page says an email or a code could not be sent, wait a few minutes and try again.
  • Nothing of yours is changed. Campaigns, orders, balances and settings stay exactly as they are. Nothing is cancelled or refunded because of a pause.
  • The bot keeps watching. Joins, deliveries and posts in your channel are still noticed and recorded while it is not posting.

When the team has something to say about a pause, it appears as a notice on the status page and across the top of the site.

Step by step β€” what to do

  1. Wait on the holding page. It reconnects you on its own, usually within minutes.
  2. Check the status page if you want live component health or an incident message.
  3. Email [email protected] if it is genuinely urgent.
  4. Once you are back in, verify anything you were mid-way through β€” an unsent form, an unconfirmed booking, a half-finished listing β€” before assuming it went through.
Copy a long message before you reload

Unsent form content is not stored on our side. If maintenance interrupts you mid-write, copy your text somewhere safe first.

FAQ

Is maintenance announced in advance? Windows are short and normally taken when traffic is low. When there is something to say, the team posts an incident notice, which appears on the status page and as a strip across site pages.

How long does it usually last? The page says "a few minutes", and that is the intent.

Will my scheduled campaign or promotion be affected? Maintenance does not cancel anything. If a schedule mattered to the minute, check it once you are back in and write to the team if something looks wrong.

I asked for a sign-in code and it never came. Is that maintenance? It may be a short pause in sending. Wait a few minutes and ask again; if it still does not arrive, check your spam folder and then write to [email protected].

Can I reach support during maintenance? By email, yes. The widget and the contact form come back with the site.

Is there a way to see the holding page when nothing is down? Yes: the preview of the holding page shows exactly the same page, without the automatic reconnect. It is a preview, not an outage.
