Priority delivery and Priority Review
Running an ad in the Subscriber Exchange is free, unless the ad links outside Telegram. Priority delivery and Priority Review are two optional paid extras for one ad: the first adds placements to the current cycle, the second asks reviewers to look at your ad first.
Every plan can buy both extras, at the same price. What differs is the room your plan leaves under the limit of 24 placements per cycle. On Master and Ultimate, a large upgrade may not fit once you also add extra placements.
What you can add to one adβ
Three things can give one ad more in its current 30-day cycle. All three are chosen on the Delivery step of the ad builder, and all three apply only to a Broadcast to the pool ad, never to a swap.
| What you add | What it does | How you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Extra placements | Adds placements to this cycle | With the credits you earn by hosting |
| Priority delivery | Adds placements to this cycle and places your ad earlier when the exchange is busy | From your wallet |
| Priority Review | Flags your ad for reviewers to pick up first | From your wallet |
You choose them when you submit the ad. They cannot be added to an ad that is already submitted, and each covers one cycle only. Extra placements are explained in How exchange credits work.
Choose priority deliveryβ
- Open the exchange page, press My advertisements, then Create an ad, and work through the Write, Media, Topic and Audience steps.
- On the Delivery step, leave How should this run? on Broadcast to the pool.
- If the Extra placements menu is shown and you want to spend credits, choose a number there first. Extra placements and a delivery upgrade share the same room, so this choice can change which upgrades fit.
- Open the Priority delivery (optional) menu and choose a delivery upgrade. Each entry shows its price and the placements it adds.
Plus plan Β· The Delivery step with two extra placements, Priority delivery and Priority Review chosen The Priority delivery menu and the tick box are the same on every plan. The Extra placements menu appears only when you can buy at least one, and never on Free. 1 The run choice: a delivery upgrade needs Broadcast to the pool. 2 Extra placements, paid with credits. 3 The Priority delivery menu, paid from your wallet. 4 The Priority Review tick box, whose label shows the price. 5 The summary line: what you get, the total, and your wallet balance.
The menu starts on "Standard β free", which is your plan's own placements with nothing added. The upgrades are:
| Priority delivery | Price on the menu | Extra placements this cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free | None |
| Priority | $0.99 | 2 |
| Spotlight | $1.99 | 4 |
| Featured | $2.99 | 6 |
The menu on your own screen always shows the live label. A delivery upgrade that cannot fit in full reads "β no room this cycle" in place of its placements.
A delivery upgrade also places your ad earlier in the cycle when many ads are waiting for the same channels. It does not make review faster, and it does not reach channels outside your ad's level, topic and targeting.
Add Priority Reviewβ
Tick Priority Review under the Priority delivery menu. The label shows the current price: "Priority Review (the price) β jump the review queue and get looked at first."
- What it does. Your ad is flagged for reviewers to pick up first. While the ad is in review, the Why? panel on its row says: "Priority Review is on, so your card is flagged for the reviewer to pick up first."
- What it does not do. It sets no deadline and it does not make approval more likely. A person still reads the ad, and the same rules apply.
- It works alone. You can tick it with the menu left on "Standard β free".
No plan moves an ad up the review queue. Priority Review is the only thing that does.
Read the summary and payβ
- Read the summary line under the tick box. With nothing chosen it reads "Standard cadence β no charge." With a purchase it names what you get and the total, then "Charged from your wallet (your balance)." If the ad links outside Telegram, the line names that fee too: "The adβs live price fee for links outside Telegram is charged with it β one for the whole ad." With nothing chosen it then reads "Standard cadence, included. The only charge is the adβs live price fee for links outside Telegram β one for the whole ad."
- Go on to Review. The Delivery row names the delivery upgrade and Priority Review, and the Charge row shows the total "from your wallet". An ad that links outside Telegram also gets the row Links outside Telegram, which reads "live price, returned if the ad never runs", and the total includes it.
- Read the sentence above the button: "Submitting sends your ad to our reviewers and charges the total from your wallet for the delivery upgrade. Youβll hear back by email and on Telegram. Nothing runs until a human approves it." With the fee as well, it names both: "for the delivery upgrade (its price) and the live price fee for links outside Telegram".
- Press Submit and pay the total. There is no second confirmation: pressing the button is your agreement to the charge.
The page shows Sent for review with your Campaign ID. With Priority Review it adds "You're in the priority review queue." Promotional balance in your wallet is spent before balance you can withdraw.
The campaign row then carries a badge naming what you bought, and a Priority review pill if you added Priority Review. Both stay only while the purchase stands.
How much fits in one cycleβ
One ad can have at most 24 placements in a cycle. Your plan's placements, your extra placements and the delivery upgrade are added together, and the total must stay at or under that limit.
A delivery upgrade must fit in full. If only part of it would fit, the purchase is refused and nothing is charged. Priority Review adds no placements, so it always fits.
| Free | Lite | Plus | Elite | Master | Ultimate | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Placements per 30-day cycle | 7 | 9 | 11 | 13 | 15 | 18 |
| Extra placements you can buy with hosting credits | 0 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 6 |
| Most placements per cycle from plan and credits | 7 | 12 | 15 | 18 | 21 | 24 |
| Room for a delivery upgrade with no extra placements | 17 | 15 | 13 | 11 | 9 | 6 |
| Room for a delivery upgrade with every extra placement | 17 | 12 | 9 | 6 | 3 | 0 |
These are the current published figures; the figure shown on your own screen is always the one that applies to you.
Read the last two rows against the delivery upgrade table. With no extra placements, every plan has room for Featured. With every extra placement your plan allows, Master has room for Priority only, and Ultimate has no room for any upgrade.
An ad that waits is charged when it startsβ
Sometimes the exchange does not yet have enough channels to carry your ad. The ad is then saved and reviewed, and the page shows Saved, starts by itself instead of Sent for review.
Nothing is charged while the ad waits. On the Review step, the Charge row ends with "when it starts", and the button text tells you the total. A fee for links outside Telegram is listed as "taken when it starts" at the price on the Review step. Your credits and the wallet charge are taken at the moment the ad starts. You then receive Your exchange ad is now running, with a line that begins "Charged now that it runs".
If your credits or wallet cannot cover the extras or the fee at that moment, the ad keeps waiting and you receive Your exchange ad is ready but could not start. Nothing was charged. Top up your wallet or earn the credits, and the ad starts by itself. You can also cancel it and submit it again without the extras, or without the links outside Telegram.
A low reliability score narrows bought placements tooβ
A low reliability score reduces the placements every one of your ads gets in a cycle. The reduction applies to the whole ad: your plan's placements, your extra placements and a delivery upgrade alike.
The page warns you before you pay. The note under the menus begins "Note: your reliability is currently narrowing every ad" and gives the number of placements your plan is running at now.
Check the Reliability pill at the top of the exchange page before you buy. If the note is showing, a delivery upgrade labelled with a number of placements can deliver fewer. The charge is the same. See Your reliability score and appeals for how to raise the score.
Refundsβ
Refunds for these extras, and for the fee for links outside Telegram, are automatic. You do not ask for them.
| What happened | Wallet charge for a delivery upgrade and Priority Review | Credits spent on extra placements | Fee for links outside Telegram |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your ad was declined in review | Refunded in full | Returned in full | Refunded |
| You cancelled before any placement ran | Refunded in full, Priority Review included | Returned in full | Refunded |
| You cancelled after one or more placements ran | Not refunded | Not returned | Kept |
| Your appeal against a decline was accepted | Already refunded at the decline; the ad returns on Standard | Already returned; the ad returns without them | Charged again when the ad runs, like any run; the ad waits until your wallet covers it |
| The Onflow Ads team stopped your ad | Refunded when the team's decision includes a refund | Returned when the team's decision includes a refund | Refunded if no placement ran |
| A waiting ad was cancelled or declined | Nothing was charged | Nothing was spent | Nothing was charged |
A refund comes back as the same kind of balance you paid with. The part paid from promotional balance returns as promotional balance, and only the part paid from withdrawable balance can be withdrawn.
When you cancel, the page names the amount returned and a wallet reference such as OFT-704-2318. It does not mention your credits, but they are returned too. A returned fee for links outside Telegram is named in its own sentence, with its own reference, and a notice titled "Outside-links fee returned" follows. The decline message, Your ad was not approved, names the wallet refund, the credits and the returned fee. The full terms are in the Refund policy and top-up refunds page.
Once one placement of the ad has run, the delivery upgrade, Priority Review, the credits for extra placements and the fee for links outside Telegram are all kept. The page does not warn you about this when you press Cancel.
If something goes wrongβ
Find the message you see, or the thing that is not working, in the cards below. A delivery upgrade or Priority Review that is refused is never charged, on any plan.
"Thatβs more than your balance β top up or choose Standard."β
-
Where you see it:
The summary line on the Delivery step of the ad builder, on the website. If you submit anyway, the ad is refused with a message that begins "The upgrade's name delivery upgrade costs the amount and your wallet is short."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The delivery upgrade and Priority Review together cost more than your wallet balance.
-
How to fix it:
Add funds, then submit again. See Adding funds to your wallet. To submit without paying, set the menu to "Standard β free" and clear the Priority Review tick box. Nothing was charged, and credits chosen for extra placements were not spent.
A delivery upgrade reads "β no room this cycle"β
-
Where you see it:
The Priority delivery (optional) menu on the Delivery step. The summary line adds "This upgrade canβt be bought at your current placement count."
-
Plans affected:
At the current figures, Master with four or more extra placements chosen, and Ultimate with any extra placements chosen.
-
Why it happens:
Your plan's placements, your extra placements and that upgrade together would pass the limit of 24 placements in a cycle.
-
How to fix it:
Choose a smaller upgrade, or lower Extra placements and open the Priority delivery menu again. If the summary says your extra placements already fill the cycle, no upgrade fits until you lower them. Priority Review can still be bought.
"The delivery upgrade is bigger than the placements left this cycle, so it will be refused and nothing will be charged."β
-
Where you see it:
The Review step of the ad builder, above a button that reads Submit anyway.
-
Plans affected:
At the current figures, Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
You went on to Review with a delivery upgrade that does not fit in full.
-
How to fix it:
Go back to the Delivery step and pick a smaller upgrade or fewer extra placements. If you press Submit anyway, the ad is not submitted and nothing is charged.
"Delivery upgrades apply to pool campaigns, not swaps."β
-
Where you see it:
The ad builder, when you submit an ad set to Swap with one partner.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A delivery upgrade or Priority Review was still attached to the ad after it was changed to a swap. The builder normally clears both, so this points to an out-of-date copy of the form.
-
How to fix it:
Reload the page and choose your options again. A swap cannot carry a delivery upgrade or Priority Review. If you want either, set the ad to Broadcast to the pool.
The upgrade delivered fewer placements than its labelβ
-
Where you see it:
The placement count on the ad's row in My advertisements, at the end of a cycle.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your reliability score was low during the cycle. A low score narrows every ad, bought placements included. The Delivery step showed the note "your reliability is currently narrowing every ad" before you paid.
-
How to fix it:
The charge stands. Before your next purchase, check the Reliability pill and the note on the Delivery step. Keeping hosted ads up for their full 24 hours is what raises the score.
The Priority review or upgrade pill disappeared from the rowβ
-
Where you see it:
The ad's row in My advertisements.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The purchase no longer stands. Either the ad was declined and the charge refunded, or the ad was cancelled with a refund. An ad that comes back after an accepted appeal runs on Standard, without the delivery upgrade, Priority Review or extra placements.
-
How to fix it:
Check your wallet for the refund. To have the extras again, cancel the ad and submit a new one with them. You pay the price shown on the menu at that time.
The next cycle shows fewer placementsβ
-
Where you see it:
The ad's row in My advertisements, after the ad rolls into a new 30-day cycle.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Extra placements and a delivery upgrade cover only the cycle you bought them in. From the next cycle the ad runs on your plan's own placements.
-
How to fix it:
Nothing is wrong. To buy extras for another cycle, cancel the ad and submit a new one with them.
