How credits work
SubX credits are the Subscriber Exchange's own currency. They are not money, they are not a wallet balance, and they cannot be bought. They are the exchange's record of what your channels have contributed to it: every credit on your account was created by one of your channels carrying somebody's ad for a full 24 hours.
There is exactly one event that creates a credit — a placement in one of your channels that ran its full term. Nothing else adds to a balance, and nothing removes one.
The earning flow, step by step, is Earning credits by hosting. This page is what a credit is.
What a credit is, in plain terms
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Are credits money? | No. They have no cash value, they are never converted to your wallet balance, and they cannot be withdrawn |
| Can I buy credits? | No. There is no purchase path. Money buys delivery boosts instead, which are a separate, paid product |
| Can I transfer credits to a friend? | No. Credits belong to the account that earned them |
| Do credits expire? | No. Nothing in the exchange removes credits from your balance |
| Do credits work in Paid Promotions, Cross-Promotion or Boost? | No. SubX credits are for the Subscriber Exchange only. Boost credit is a different balance entirely |
| Are credits and Boost credit the same? | No. Boost credit is what the Ultimate Delivery Floor make-good pays out in. The two never mix |
How a credit is created
| Event | What you earn |
|---|---|
| A placement your channel hosted ran its full 24 hours | The base award of 10 credits, multiplied by your plan's credit rate |
That is the whole list.
Your plan's credit rate runs from 1.0 on Free to 2.0 on Ultimate, so one completed placement is worth 10 credits on Free and 20 on Ultimate. The full table, and everything that does not pay, is on Earning credits by hosting.
The ledger — why a balance is never an argument
Your credit balance is not a counter that gets nudged up and down. Every movement writes a ledger entry: the amount, the reason, the resulting balance, and the placement it belongs to. The running total on your account is a cached sum of those entries.
Two things follow, both in your favour:
- A disputed balance is a lookup, not a debate. If a balance ever looks wrong, support reconstructs it from the entries rather than guessing.
- Nothing is ever paid twice. Each hosted placement can mint its award exactly once, even if the exchange re-checks that placement after a restart.
Where your balance appears
| Surface | What it shows |
|---|---|
| The bot's takedown message | That the placement served its full window and earned credits, added on onflowads.com within a few minutes — one message per completed placement, without the number |
| A channel's own dashboard | A lifetime Credits earned figure for that channel, and the credits each of its recent hosted placements paid, shown as a signed delta on the event. On every plan — see A channel's own dashboard |
You reach a channel's dashboard by opening the channel from the dashboard's My channels list. A channel the exchange knows about but that was never added to your channel list has no such page; its row opens a smaller Latest campaign story popup instead, which names the credits when the latest campaign happened to be an exchange placement.
Every credit is minted by one channel, so each channel's dashboard is where earnings are read, one channel at a time. Nothing in the dashboard adds them into a single figure. If you need the account-wide number, ask support — the ledger above holds every entry, so they read the total off it rather than estimating it.
The "Hosted ad removed on schedule" message arrives once per placement that served its term, so scrolling your Telegram chat with the bot reconstructs which placements earned. The amounts are on the website — each channel's own dashboard, on every plan — because the website, not the bot, is what mints them.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A placement completed but the channel's dashboard shows no credit for it | The website mints on a sweep a few minutes after the takedown | Wait a few minutes and reload; then contact support with the channel's OFSC- reference if it is still missing |
| A placement that was re-checked after a restart still shows one award | Each placement can mint exactly once | Nothing. This is the double-payment guard working |
| Your balance looks lower than you expected | Refused, declined, expired and early-removed placements pay nothing | Check Earning credits by hosting for the full list of what does not pay |
Frequently asked
Do I need credits to run an ad?
No. Every plan, including Free, runs its included placements per 30-day cycle regardless of your balance. What opens the advertising side is having a channel enrolled and hosting — not a number of credits.
I hosted an ad but my balance did not move. Why?
A placement only pays when it runs its full 24 hours. One that was refused, declined in review, skipped after a review timeout, or removed early earns nothing.
Does a swap earn credits?
No. A swap is a direct 1:1 trade between two members, and its return is the promotion itself rather than credits. See Swaps.
