Pulse

Onflow Pulse is engine 04 of Onflow Ads, and Onflow Brand Lift is part of it. Pulse runs a brand's question as a native, anonymous Telegram poll in channels whose owners chose to host polls. The brand gets one report of the totals across every channel. Hosts are paid a fee for each poll that stays up until it closes.

Available on every plan β€” limits differ

Any account with funds can run a brand poll. The plan sets how many free polls an owner can run in their own channel each month. Brand Lift, built on Pulse, starts at Elite.

Find the Pulse page

Open the Pulse page from the Telegram dashboard. Pulse has a separate dashboard for each account role, and the bar at the top holds your role's pages:

RoleThe Pulse barWhat you do there
AdvertiserPolls, New poll, Pick channels, Reports, Brand Lift studiesAsk other channels' audiences, Test before you buy, pick the channels yourself, read reports, run Brand Lift studies
Channel ownerPolls, New poll, Owner polls, Offers, SettingsPoll your own channels, choose which channels host and on what terms, answer offers, see earnings and payout dates

An owner never sees Pick channels or Brand Lift studies, and an advertiser never sees Offers or Settings. Anything your account had on the other side before you chose your role stays visible read-only and finishes normally (Your dashboard by role). On a first visit each part says what it is for.

Anyone can read how Pulse works, without an account, on the public Pulse page.

Five ways to use Pulse

  • Brand polls (advertisers). You write a question, let Pulse match the channels or pick them yourself, and pay their hosts. See Create a Pulse poll.
  • Test before you buy (advertisers). Two headlines go head to head in a poll, and the winner opens a Paid Promotions booking. See Test before you buy.
  • Pulse for your own channel (channel owners). Ask your own subscribers, free within your plan's monthly polls. See Pulse for my channel.
  • Hosting (channel owners). Let brands poll your channel and earn a fee for each poll you keep up. See Host Pulse polls.
  • Brand Lift (advertisers). Measure a Paid Promotions campaign with Pulse polls asked before and after it, in its channels and in matched channels that did not run it. See Brand Lift.

What every poll is

Every Pulse poll is an anonymous Telegram poll with one answer per person. Results stay hidden from voters until the poll closes. Onflow Ads receives only the total for each answer in each channel, never who voted or how any person voted.

Nobody may offer anything for voting or for a particular answer: not the brand, not the host. A poll whose text promises a prize, a reward or a chance to win is refused before anything is charged.

Diagram The brand pays the cap once; a host is paid only for a poll that stayed up. What comes back for a channel that did not run, or failed, follows the table in Pricing and the cap: everything when the poll never ran or failed on Onflow's side, the host fee when the host was at fault or a dispute was upheld.

Brand polls are open to every plan and paid per host. See Pricing and the cap. A plan buys reach, depth and convenience; it never changes a poll's results, a Brand Lift result or a Pulse payout. The plan discount applies to the Brand Lift study fee only, never to host fees or to Onflow's share of them. See Comparing the plans.

Money and trust

  • Hosts are paid through escrow. A host's fee lands 7 days after the poll completes, in their wallet, or later when their reliability band is lower. See Pulse payouts.
  • Brands can dispute. The brand can dispute within 72 hours of the poll completing. See Dispute a Pulse payout.
  • Early release is the brand's choice. A brand may release a live channel's fee early and give up its protections for that channel. See Release a payout early.
  • Penalties need proof. See Pulse penalties and appeals.
