The View Guarantee
Advertisers can pay a premium at checkout for a guaranteed minimum view count on a placement in your channel. If Onflow Ads's own monitor later measures fewer views than guaranteed, the buyer receives an automatic pro-rata refund — a make-good — with no dispute and no argument, because the platform's own measurement is the arbiter.
This page explains what that product means from your side. The short version: nothing changes, and nothing is at risk.
The one fact that matters most
You are always paid in full.
A make-good is funded by Onflow Ads out of the premium the buyer paid for the guarantee. It is never taken from your payout and never billed to you afterwards. You advertised your reach in good faith and are paid your full payout regardless of what the placement delivered. The premium is the price of the platform taking the delivery risk.
How the guarantee is set
| Rule | Shipped value |
|---|---|
| The guaranteed floor | 80% of your channel's advertised average views |
| What the buyer pays for it | 15% on top of the line charge |
| Not offered below | 1,000 advertised average views |
| Settles at | The end of the run, with a 48-hour measurement grace afterwards |
All four are set by Onflow Ads and can change; the exact guaranteed count is shown on the booking.
- The floor sits deliberately below your advertised average, so ordinary week-to-week variance does not trip it.
- Your advertised average views are measured by the bot from your recent posts, not typed in by you. That is precisely why the platform is willing to stand behind them.
- The settlement measurement is the monitor's own sampled view counts on the delivered post — the same witnessed numbers in the delivery report both sides see. See Delivery monitoring.
What you have to do differently
Nothing. Deliver exactly as you would any placement: post inside the window, keep the channel quiet for the format's opening hour or three, leave the post up for its promised duration, do not edit it.
- There is no extra step and no extra reporting.
- There is no penalty tied to the guarantee itself. Under-delivery against a guarantee does not touch your reliability score, your Standing or your good-faith deposit.
- The ordinary delivery rules still apply exactly as on any booking. A deleted post is still a deleted post.
From your side a guaranteed placement is an ordinary booking at your ordinary price, and it pays your ordinary payout. The guarantee's state and its settlement live on the buyer's order card.
Edge cases, resolved in advance
| What happens | The outcome |
|---|---|
| The placement meets or beats the floor | The guarantee is met, nothing is refunded, and you notice nothing |
| The placement under-delivers | The buyer receives a pro-rata make-good funded by Onflow Ads. Your payout is untouched |
| The placement could not be measured at all | The buyer's guarantee premium is refunded to them. Your payout is unaffected |
| The booking is declined, cancelled or refunded before it runs | The premium goes back with the charge, as you would expect |
| A dispute is open on the booking | The dispute decides the money first; the guarantee settles only after it closes. See Disputes |
Why this is good for sellers
Certainty is the one thing a rate card cannot sell, and buyers pay a premium for it. A cautious advertiser who would otherwise test a small slot will book a real one when the downside is covered — so channels with solid, honestly measured average views win bookings they would not otherwise see. Because your advertised reach is measured by the bot rather than self-reported, a healthy channel qualifies automatically with nothing to apply for.
Your advertised average is re-measured from your recent posts, including on the 14-day re-verification pass. A channel with a steady posting cadence gives that measurement something honest to work with, which keeps both the guaranteed floor and the price it supports where they belong.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A make-good was paid on your placement | The monitor measured fewer views than the floor | Nothing. Your payout is unchanged and your score is untouched |
| Your channel stopped being offered with guarantees | Your measured average views fell below the 1,000 floor | Post more regularly; the re-verification pass re-measures every 14 days |
| Your advertised average views changed without you editing anything | Re-verification overwrote them with a fresh measurement | Expected. See Listing your channel |
