How the Onflow Verified score works
This page explains what each part of an Onflow Verified score measures, how much evidence a channel needs before a number appears, and what each state on the badge means. It is written for both sides: owners who want to understand their score, and advertisers who want to read one.
The method is the same for every channel and every plan. No plan buys a higher score or a faster one.
Deliveryβ
Delivery asks one question about every finished placement in the channel: did the ad run exactly as it was booked? A placement counts as delivered in full when the ad was posted, stayed up for its whole window, was not edited, and kept its pin when a pin was sold.
Paid Promotions bookings and Subscriber Exchange placements both count. Placements between accounts that share a home browser are left out, so a channel cannot raise its own score by booking itself.
Reader responseβ
Reader response compares how readers acted on an ad in this channel with how they acted on the same ad in other channels. Joins through the ad's invite link count where Onflow Ads can see them; otherwise taps on the ad's links count.
The comparison is fair to every size of channel. Each placement is compared with channels of a similar size, and the placement itself is left out of its own comparison. A large channel is never expected to convert like a small one, and a small one is never marked down for having fewer readers.
Reach deliveredβ
Reach delivered compares the views an ad reached with the views the channel's own posts reach at the same age. A channel whose ad reached what its posts usually reach scores in full. Reaching more than usual is never a problem and never lowers this part.
How much evidence a number needsβ
A channel shows a number only once it has at least 5 finished placements from 3 different advertisers. Until then the badge reads Onflow Verified Β· New, and the owner sees how many more placements and advertisers are needed.
Older placements count for less than recent ones, so a score follows how a channel is doing now. One unusual placement cannot decide a score on its own: each part is capped, extreme results are trimmed, and medians are used where an average could be pulled by one case.
Confidenceβ
Next to the number the badge shows how sure the score is: Low, Medium or High confidence. Confidence rises with the number of recent placements and with the number of different advertisers behind them. A score with low confidence can still move a long way as new placements finish.
The states a channel can be inβ
| What the badge shows | What it means |
|---|---|
| Onflow Verified Β· New | Not enough finished placements yet. No number is shown. |
| A record without a number | Some placements are counted; the owner's page shows what is still missing. |
| Onflow Verified 78 Β· High confidence | A score, with its band and confidence. |
| On hold | Our team is reviewing the score, for example after an appeal. It does not change until the review ends. |
| No score shown | Telegram has put a warning label on the channel. No number is shown while the label stands. |
The score is recalculated every night, and again shortly after a placement in the channel finishes.
