Troubleshooting Cross-Promotion
This page covers every failure you can meet before a swap is agreed: getting in, fetching your channel, creating, joining and finding a partner. Find the message you see, or the thing that is not working.
For the campaign page itself, from the schedule to go-live, see Troubleshooting cross-promotion posts and delivery. For results, ratings, Blitz, recurring swaps and the paid extras, see Troubleshooting cross-promotion results and extras.
Getting to a Cross-Promotion page
These messages can appear on any Cross-Promotion page, and in place of any other message on this page. None of them means something was created, joined or charged.
You are sent to the sign-in, email verification or connect-Telegram page
-
Where you see it:
The website, when you open any Cross-Promotion page, including a link from a Telegram message or an email. If the page was already open, the button you pressed answers "Please sign in to continue." or "Please verify your email first."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You are signed out, your email address is not verified yet, or your account has not connected Telegram yet. Nothing was changed.
-
How to fix it:
Finish the step the page shows. The page you wanted is remembered and opens afterwards, and a join link keeps its code. If a button gave the message, sign in again in the same tab and repeat the step.
"Cross-Promotion is unavailable right now"
-
Where you see it:
A banner under the heading of the Cross-Promotion pages where you start, join or find a swap. The sentence under it reads "Cross-Promotion is not taking new campaigns right now. Campaigns already agreed carry on as planned. Please try again later." The same sentence appears in red when you press a button that would start or join a swap.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Onflow Ads has paused new cross-promotions for a while. Nothing was created, joined or charged. Campaigns already agreed keep running, and a partner who could not confirm during the pause is not penalised for it.
-
How to fix it:
Try again later, and check the status page. Declining a request or a proposal, cancelling a campaign and removing a listing still work during the pause.
"Too many attempts. Please wait a minute and try again."
-
Where you see it:
The website, after pressing any button in Cross-Promotion.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The same action was repeated too quickly. Your last press was ignored. Nothing changed and nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Wait, then press the button once. If the message is still there after a longer wait, contact support and say which page you were on.
"Something went wrong on our side and this did not go through. Nothing was changed. Quote reference if you tell us about it."
-
Where you see it:
The website, after any action. You may also see a line that begins "This feature is temporarily unavailable" and ends "Please try again shortly.", or "The site is busy right now and this did not go through. Please try again in a moment." A short line that begins "Could not", such as "Could not send the request." or "Could not save your decision.", belongs here too.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A problem on our side, or a page that had gone out of date while it sat open. Nothing was saved, changed or charged.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh the page and try again in a few minutes. If it repeats, send support the reference in the message and the Campaign ID from the campaign page, if you have one. One related line is about what you entered: "A number, date or piece of text in this request is not one we can use (too large, or not a real date), so it did not go through." Check the date or number you typed, then try again.
"Network error — please try again."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on any Cross-Promotion page. Variants are "Network error — refresh to try again." and "Network error."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your browser could not reach the site. The page cannot tell whether your last action went through.
-
How to fix it:
Check your connection and refresh. Then look at the campaign or the list before you press again. Creating a campaign is safe to repeat, because a repeat returns the same campaign. Before repeating a purchase, check your wallet history first.
Fetching your channel
Every route into a swap starts by fetching your channel: creating, joining, Use channel in the directory and the List my channel tab. These are the refusals at that step.
"Enter a public Telegram link, e.g. https://t.me/yourchannel."
-
Where you see it:
Under the channel field, after pressing the fetch button. Variants are "Enter your public channel link.", "Enter your channel link first.", "Pick the channel you want to cross-promote." and "You’ve already added that channel."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The field is empty, or it holds something that is not a Telegram link or @username. The last two variants mean the page lost track of your channel, for example after you removed it in another tab. Nothing was fetched.
-
How to fix it:
Paste your channel's public link, such as
https://t.me/yourchannel, or its @username, then fetch again.
"Add our bot to verify your channel"
-
Where you see it:
A panel that replaces the fetch button. One line in it says what is missing, for example "Add @OnflowAdsBot to your channel as an administrator (with “Post Messages” and “Delete Messages”), then try again.", "We couldn't find that channel. Add @OnflowAdsBot to your channel as an administrator, then try again." or "Only public Telegram channels can be verified — that looks like a group or user."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The channel is new to your account and @OnflowAdsBot is not an administrator of it, or it lacks a right it needs. No channel was added and no campaign was created.
-
How to fix it:
In Telegram, add @OnflowAdsBot to the channel as an administrator with Post Messages and Delete Messages switched on. Back on the website, press I’ve done it — check again. The full steps are in Verifying your channel.
"You must be an administrator of this channel to list it."
-
Where you see it:
The same panel, now titled "Your Telegram account is not an admin of this channel". The message continues "We checked your Telegram account, the Telegram account linked to your Onflow Ads account, and it is not one of the channel's admins. Make it an admin, then try again."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The bot is in place, but the Telegram account connected to your Onflow Ads account is not an administrator of the channel. This is common when you run the channel from a second Telegram account.
-
How to fix it:
Make the account named in the message an administrator of the channel, then press Check again. If the wrong Telegram account is connected, press See your linked Telegram and connect the right one.
"This channel is already on Onflow Ads under another account."
-
Where you see it:
The same panel, after fetching. The message continues "Connect your Telegram account in your account settings so we can confirm you are one of its administrators, then try again."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Another Onflow Ads account already holds this channel, and nothing yet shows that you run it too.
-
How to fix it:
Open your Account page and connect the Telegram account that is an administrator of the channel. Then fetch the channel again.
"That channel isn’t public, or it doesn’t exist. Only public Telegram channels can be cross-promoted."
-
Where you see it:
Under the channel field, after fetching. A shorter variant is "That doesn't look like a public channel."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The link points to a private channel, a group, a person or a handle that does not exist. Nothing was fetched.
-
How to fix it:
Check the handle for typing mistakes. If the channel is private, give it a public @username in Telegram, then fetch again.
"We couldn’t reach Telegram from our server right now. Please try again in a moment."
-
Where you see it:
Under the channel field, after fetching.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Telegram could not be reached while your channel was being checked. Nothing is wrong with your channel, and nothing was fetched.
-
How to fix it:
Wait a moment and press the fetch button again.
"This channel can't be used on Onflow Ads"
-
Where you see it:
When you fetch a channel, create or join a campaign, send a request or buy Featured placement. The message continues "If you believe this is a mistake, reply to the email we sent you about it, or open a support request quoting reference." A line that begins "Reason:" may follow.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The Onflow Ads team has blocked this channel. It cannot start or join a swap. You can still remove its listing from the directory.
-
How to fix it:
Reply to the email you received about the block, or open a support request and quote the reference in the message. Use a different channel of yours in the meantime.
"Onflow Ads doesn’t list channels about gambling, betting, casinos or lotteries, adult content, illegal drugs, weapons, scams, hacking or stolen data, fake documents, or terrorism."
-
Where you see it:
When you fetch a channel or use it in Cross-Promotion. The message continues "If you believe this is a mistake, open a support request quoting this channel."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The channel was read as belonging to a topic Onflow Ads does not carry. The channel was refused and nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
If the channel was misread, open a support request and name the channel by its @handle. The full list of topics is in Prohibited content and the content check.
"Cross-Promotion channels need at least N subscribers. This channel has M."
-
Where you see it:
When you create or join a campaign, send a request, list a channel or buy Featured placement.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A minimum subscriber count applies at the moment, and this channel is below it. The message shows both numbers. Nothing was created or charged.
-
How to fix it:
Use a channel of yours that has at least the number shown, or come back when this channel reaches it.
Account standing and who you can swap with
These refusals are about your account, or about the pair of accounts, not about the channel. They appear when you create, join, confirm, send a request or accept one. Campaigns already agreed are not touched.
"Cross-Promotion needs a reliability score of at least the minimum/10 — yours is your score/10."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on creating, joining, confirming, proposing a time, and sending or accepting a request. The message continues "Complete clean deals to raise it — and a clean streak also recovers it over time on its own. See how it works on your reliability page."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your reliability score is below the minimum the message shows. The action was refused and nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Finish the deals you already have running, cleanly. Then open your reliability page to see what lowered the score and how it recovers. How the reliability score works explains it in full.
"Your account is under review while an open fraud concern is resolved."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on any action that starts a new swap. The message continues "You can finish anything already in progress, but can't start a new deal until it's cleared — see your reliability page."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your account is under review by the Onflow Ads team. Campaigns in progress continue. New ones cannot be started until the review ends.
-
How to fix it:
Finish what is already running and open your reliability page. If nothing there explains the review, contact support and quote the message.
"Cross-promotion is paused on this account until date and time after a rule break. You can see why, and appeal, on your reliability page."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on creating a campaign, entering a code, joining, confirming or proposing a time.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A recorded rule break has paused Cross-Promotion on your account until the time shown. Nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the time in the message, or appeal from your reliability page if you believe the record is wrong. Appealing a penalty or a decision describes how.
"This account can't start new deals right now."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on any action that starts a new swap.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your account is suspended. The action was refused and nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Contact support from the email address of your account and quote the message. Support can tell you why and what your options are.
"Your wallet is $amount overdrawn. Top up to clear it and your account unlocks — every credit, including anything you earn, comes straight off the balance first."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on creating, joining, confirming, sending or accepting a request, and on buying a paid extra. A longer version appears when the balance has stayed overdrawn.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your wallet balance is below zero, for example after a cover payout. Nothing new can be started until it is cleared. Nothing was created or charged.
-
How to fix it:
Top up at least the amount in the message, then repeat the step. Owing money explains what an overdrawn wallet blocks.
A refusal that ends "a member can’t cross-promote with themselves. Pick a different partner."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on joining a campaign, sending a request or accepting one.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A swap needs two different members. You were not paired, and nothing else changed.
-
How to fix it:
Pick a different partner. If you and this partner are two different people, contact support and say so.
"Your partner’s channel can’t take part in Cross-Promotion, so this campaign can’t go ahead."
-
Where you see it:
The website, on joining, on Accept & confirm, on accepting changes and on Accept & set up.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The other side's channel stopped meeting the Cross-Promotion channel rules after the campaign was made. The step was refused and nothing was confirmed. No detail about your partner is shown to you.
-
How to fix it:
Cancel the campaign and find another partner. Nothing is held against you for this.
Creating a campaign
These messages appear in the four steps of creating a campaign, from picking a genre to pressing Create CP code. The steps themselves are in Creating a cross-promotion campaign.
"Pick your channel genre."
-
Where you see it:
The first step of creating and the channel step of joining. Variants are "Pick your channel genre from the list." and, on Create CP code, "Pick the channel you want to promote first."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The genre list is still on "Choose your genre…", or the channel was not fetched. The page stays on, or returns to, that step.
-
How to fix it:
Fetch your channel if it is missing, choose a genre from the list, then continue.
"Earlier times today have already passed — the earliest is time (timezone)."
-
Where you see it:
Under the clock, wherever you set a go-live time. You may also see "Today has no slots left, so the go-live moved to date." or "Today has no slots left — pick another day."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The time you chose is too close to now, or already gone. The clock was moved forward for you. Nothing was submitted.
-
How to fix it:
Read the time the clock now shows. Keep it if it suits you, or pick another day.
"Pick a go-live time in the future."
-
Where you see it:
On Continue, Create CP code, Send request or Send proposed changes. Variants name the field to fix: "Pick a go-live date.", "Pick a go-live time.", "Pick a date within the next 14 days.", "Go-live must be within N days.", "Choose how long the promotion runs.", "Pick how long the promotion runs.", "Pick a valid promotion duration.", "Pick the timezone your go-live time is in.", "We don’t recognise that timezone — pick another.", "That date or time isn’t valid.", "That time has already passed today — pick a later time or another day." and "Scheduling is temporarily unavailable."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The schedule is incomplete, outside the dates the calendar offers, or it slipped into the past while the page sat open. Nothing was created or proposed.
-
How to fix it:
Fix the field the message names, pick a new time and submit again. If a run length offered on screen is refused, pick another and tell support which one was refused.
"Time doesn’t exist on date in timezone — the clocks change that night. Pick a time an hour later or earlier."
-
Where you see it:
When you submit a schedule on the website.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The time you chose falls in the hour that is skipped when the clocks go forward in that timezone. Nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Pick a time one hour later or one hour earlier, then submit again.
"You've used all N cross-promotion initiations included this month."
-
Where you see it:
On Create CP code and on Send request, with a card titled "Plan allows limit" and a See plans button. An email about upgrading may follow.
-
Plans affected:
Free, Lite, Plus, Elite and Master.
-
Why it happens:
You have started as many campaigns this calendar month as your plan includes. A code that is still open counts. Expired codes and cancelled campaigns do not. No campaign was created, no request was sent and nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Any one of these works.
- Join a partner's campaign instead. Joining is never limited.
- Cancel an open code you no longer need. That frees its place.
- Wait for the first day of next month, when the count starts again.
- Move to a higher plan. See Comparing the six plans.
"Could not create the campaign. Please try again."
-
Where you see it:
On the last step of creating, after pressing Create CP code.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The site gave an answer the page did not expect. Most likely nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Press Create CP code again. A repeat cannot create a second copy. Then check Your campaigns to confirm the campaign is there.
"Not enough recent posts to recommend a best day yet — pick any date."
-
Where you see it:
Under Best day to go live on the schedule step. Other lines there are "Pick your channel first.", "No upcoming dates match this channel's busiest days.", "You've used today's AI actions.", "No best-day suggestion yet.", "No best-day suggestion available yet." and "Couldn't suggest a day right now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan. The size of your AI text allowance differs by plan.
-
Why it happens:
No channel is fetched, the channel has too little posting history, your AI text allowance is used, or the suggestion could not be made this time. No date was changed. An AI action is used only when a suggestion is returned.
-
How to fix it:
Pick the date yourself. The suggestion is optional and a campaign does not need it. For allowances, see AI allowance and limits by plan.
Entering a code and joining
These messages appear on the Join page, from Find campaign to the final confirmation. The steps are in Joining a cross-promotion with a code.
"That doesn’t look like a valid code. Codes look like OFCP-000-0000."
-
Where you see it:
The first step of joining, after pressing Find campaign. With an empty field you see "Enter the code your partner sent you."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
What you typed cannot be a join code. Nothing was looked up.
-
How to fix it:
Read the code again and retype it. Capitals, spaces and dashes do not matter. The digits do.
"No campaign found for that code. Double-check it with your partner."
-
Where you see it:
The first step of joining. A variant is "We couldn't find that campaign."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
No campaign has that code, or the campaign it belonged to can no longer be joined. Nothing happened.
-
How to fix it:
Ask your partner to read the code back to you, or to create a new campaign and send the new code.
"That’s your own code — share it with a partner instead."
-
Where you see it:
The first step of joining.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You entered a code that you created. A campaign needs a second member to join it.
-
How to fix it:
Send the code to your partner. To manage the campaign, open it from Your campaigns.
"This code has expired — ask your partner to create a new campaign."
-
Where you see it:
The Join page, on finding the campaign or on adding your channel.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The code was not used in time, or the campaign closed without an agreed schedule. Nothing was joined.
-
How to fix it:
Ask your partner for a fresh code. Creating a new campaign costs them nothing.
"Your partner cancelled this campaign, so this code no longer works — ask them for a new one."
-
Where you see it:
The Join page. A variant is "This campaign was closed before anyone joined, so this code no longer works — ask your partner for a new one."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The creator cancelled the campaign, or it was closed before anyone joined. Nothing was joined.
-
How to fix it:
Ask your partner to create a new campaign and send you the new code.
"This campaign has already been joined by someone else."
-
Where you see it:
The Join page, on finding the campaign or on adding your channel. A variant is "This campaign has already been joined or is no longer open."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Each code takes one partner, and another channel took it first. This can happen while you are part-way through the steps. Nothing was joined.
-
How to fix it:
Ask your partner for a fresh code, or look at the Open campaigns tab of the partner directory.
"Joining is paused for now — a campaign you recently joined went unconfirmed. You can still create your own campaigns. Try joining again after date and time."
-
Where you see it:
On Find campaign, on adding your channel and on Accept & set up for a request.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You joined campaigns and then left them without confirming or proposing a time. Joining is paused until the time shown. Creating your own campaigns still works.
-
How to fix it:
Wait until the time in the message. The pause ends by itself and nothing ends it sooner. If you believe a campaign was closed wrongly, appeal from your reliability page.
"That’s your own campaign."
-
Where you see it:
On adding your channel on the Join page, and on the open-campaign page. There the line under it reads "The board only shows other people’s open codes. Manage yours — including taking it back off the board — from its campaign page." A related line on the Join page is "Pick a different channel — that one is already in this campaign."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You tried to join a campaign you created, or to add the channel that is already on the other side of it.
-
How to fix it:
On the open-campaign page, press Open my campaign. On the Join page, use a different channel of yours, or send the code to a partner.
"Your schedule with this partner is already agreed, so the channel on this campaign can no longer be changed."
-
Where you see it:
The Join page, when you enter a code you have already joined and try to add a different channel. A variant is "This campaign has closed, so the channel on it can no longer be changed."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You can change your channel only before the schedule is first confirmed. After that, or once the campaign has closed, the channel stays as it is.
-
How to fix it:
If the channel must change, cancel the campaign and start a new one with the right channel.
"This campaign can’t be confirmed right now — its go-live time may have passed. Propose a new time instead."
-
Where you see it:
On Accept & confirm, on the last step of joining or on the campaign page.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The creator's go-live time has already passed, or the campaign is no longer waiting for your confirmation. Nothing was confirmed. You are still joined, and the campaign still needs an agreed time.
-
How to fix it:
Press Propose changes and send a new time promptly. See Agreeing and changing the swap schedule.
"Could not join this campaign."
-
Where you see it:
The Join page. Related short lines are "Could not confirm the campaign.", "Could not confirm.", "Campaign not found." and "That code doesn’t look right."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The site gave an answer the page did not expect, or the address you opened was incomplete. Nothing changed.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh, open the Join page again and re-enter the code.
The partner directory and Find my best matches
These messages appear on the Find partners tab of the partner directory. How the list is ranked is covered in Finding cross-promotion partners.
"No partners listed yet. Be the first — list your channel from the “List my channel” tab."
-
Where you see it:
The Find partners tab. With a search term, the line names what you searched for. If the list cannot be read, you see "Couldn't load the directory." instead.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
No listing matches your genre and search. Your own listings are never shown to you. Nothing is wrong.
-
How to fix it:
Clear the search and choose All genres. If the list could not load, refresh the page. Listing your own channel lets partners find you.
"This AI feature isn’t included on this account."
-
Where you see it:
A card titled "Plan unlocks this", with a See plans button, after you press Find my best matches. The space under the button stays empty.
-
Plans affected:
Free and Lite.
-
Why it happens:
Find my best matches is included on Plus and above. Nothing was charged and no AI action was used. The directory itself works the same on every plan.
-
How to fix it:
Pick a partner from the ranked list yourself, or press See plans to compare plans.
Lite plan — Find my best matches is locked, with the upgrade card The partner list stays fully usable; only the AI shortlist is held back. 1 The Find my best matches button. 2 The card "Plus unlocks this" at the top right, with See plans. Nothing was used or charged when it appeared.
Partner cards show no "Size:" label and there is no "Not sure who fits?" bar
-
Where you see it:
The Find partners tab and the Open campaigns tab. Partners appear newest first instead of by fit.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You have not told the directory which channel is yours, so it cannot compare sizes or rank by fit. Nothing is wrong.
-
How to fix it:
Paste your channel link under Match against your channel and press Use channel. The labels and the bar appear once your channel is set.
"You’ve used today’s AI actions."
-
Where you see it:
Under Find my best matches. Other lines there are "The matchmaker is unavailable right now." and "Couldn’t shortlist matches right now."
-
Plans affected:
Plus and above.
-
Why it happens:
Your AI text allowance is used, the feature is switched off for now, or no usable shortlist came back. The line says "today’s" even when it is the monthly allowance that ran out. An AI action is used only when a shortlist is returned.
-
How to fix it:
Choose from the ranked list yourself, or try again later. AI allowance and limits by plan shows when each allowance starts again.
Partnership requests
These messages appear when you send a request from a partner card, or answer one on the Requests tab. The whole flow is in Cross-promotion partnership requests.
"Set your channel at the top first — that's the channel you'll promote."
-
Where you see it:
The Find partners tab, after pressing Request swap on a partner card.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A request needs to know which of your channels you are offering, and none is set. The request form did not open.
-
How to fix it:
Paste your channel link at the top, press Use channel, then press Request swap again.
"That partner is no longer listed in the directory."
-
Where you see it:
The request form, after pressing Send request.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The partner's listing left the directory after your page loaded. Nothing was sent.
-
How to fix it:
Go back to the list, refresh it and choose another partner.
"You already have a pending request to this partner."
-
Where you see it:
The request form, after pressing Send request. Usually the partner card already shows a greyed Request sent button.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
One request to that channel is still waiting for an answer. You can have one open request per partner. Nothing was sent.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the answer. To change the request, open the Requests tab, press Cancel request, then send a new one.
"That’s your own channel — pick a different partner."
-
Where you see it:
The request form, after pressing Send request. Rare variants are "Pick a different channel to promote." and "Pick a partner to request."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The channel you are asking is yours, both sides of the request are the same channel, or no partner was chosen. Nothing was sent.
-
How to fix it:
Go back to the list and choose a partner channel that is not yours.
"We can't show this message:"
-
Where you see it:
The request form, after pressing Send request. The reasons follow, then "Edit it and try again, or appeal if you think this is wrong." A card for appealing appears where an appeal is possible.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The optional message you wrote breaks the platform's content rules. The reasons are listed in the message. Nothing was sent.
-
How to fix it:
Reword the message, or leave it empty, and press Send request again. If you think the check is wrong, use the appeal card.
"This request has expired. Ask them to send a fresh one."
-
Where you see it:
The Requests tab, after pressing Accept & set up or Decline. The card then reads Expired.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The request waited too long without an answer and closed by itself. Nothing was created.
-
How to fix it:
Ask the other member to send the request again, or send them a request yourself from their partner card.
"You already accepted this request — its campaign is in your cross-promotions."
-
Where you see it:
The Requests tab. Related lines are "They withdrew this request, so there is nothing to decide. Send them one yourself if you still want to swap.", "You already declined this request." and "This request has already been handled."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The request changed after your page loaded, for example in another tab or on another device. Nothing new happened.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh the Requests tab. An accepted request now has an Open campaign button.
"This request can't be accepted right now. Ask your partner to send a new one later."
-
Where you see it:
The Requests tab, after pressing Accept & set up. A variant is "This request can’t be accepted right now: the channel that sent it has used all the cross-promotions it can start this month."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan. The variant depends on the plan of the member who sent the request.
-
Why it happens:
The sender cannot start a campaign at the moment. The first wording does not tell you why. The request was not accepted and stays pending.
-
How to fix it:
Leave the request or decline it, and ask the sender to try again later. For the monthly variant, you can send them a request instead. That uses one of the campaigns you can start this month.
"Only the partner who received this request can decide it."
-
Where you see it:
The Requests tab. Related lines are "Request not found.", "That request doesn’t look right.", and on Cancel request, "This request can’t be cancelled." or "Could not cancel."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The page is out of date, or the request was already answered or cancelled. Nothing changed.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh the Requests tab. If the request was accepted, press Open campaign and cancel the campaign there if you need to.
"No requests yet. Find a partner and send one, or wait for an inbound request to land here."
-
Where you see it:
The Requests tab. If the list cannot be read, you see "Couldn't load your requests." instead.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You have no requests in either direction, or the list did not load.
-
How to fix it:
Send a request from a partner card on Find partners. If the list did not load, refresh the page.
"Partner request accepted" with the status "Needs a new time"
-
Where you see it:
A message from @OnflowAdsBot and the notification bell on the website. It says "They said yes, but the start time you first suggested is now in the past, so the swap needs a new time before it can be locked in."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your partner accepted after the go-live time you suggested had passed. The campaign exists at the stage Awaiting confirmation, which your campaign list shows as In progress. It counts as one of the campaigns you start this month.
-
How to fix it:
Open the campaign and press Propose new time. Once your partner accepts, the schedule is agreed. If no new time is agreed, the campaign closes by itself, and nothing is held against the partner who accepted.
Listing your channel in the directory
These messages appear on the List my channel tab, where you add your channel to the partner directory and manage Your listings.
"Fetch your channel first."
-
Where you see it:
The List my channel tab, after pressing List my channel.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The button was pressed before a channel was fetched. Nothing was listed.
-
How to fix it:
Paste your channel link under Your channel, press Fetch, choose a genre, then press List my channel.
"We can't show this pitch:"
-
Where you see it:
The List my channel tab, after pressing List my channel. The reasons follow, then "Edit it and try again, or appeal if you think this is wrong." A card for appealing appears where an appeal is possible.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The pitch you wrote breaks the platform's content rules. The listing was not saved, or its pitch was not changed.
-
How to fix it:
Reword the pitch and save again. If you think the check is wrong, use the appeal card.
"Could not list your channel."
-
Where you see it:
The List my channel tab. Related lines are "Could not update.", "Couldn't load your listings." and "Pick the channel you want to take off the directory." With no listing at all, Your listings reads "You haven't listed a channel yet."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The page is out of date or the site gave an answer it did not expect. Nothing changed. The last line is not an error: you have no listing yet.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh the tab and try again. To create your first listing, fetch your channel and press List my channel.
The card "Your directory listing is quiet" mentions an AI redraft but has no button for it
-
Where you see it:
A card that slides in on the Find partners tab. Its one button opens the List my channel tab.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your listing has drawn little interest, and the card suggests ways to improve it. Pressing its button charges nothing and changes nothing.
-
How to fix it:
On List my channel, fetch the channel, write a sharper pitch and press List my channel. For top placement, press the button on the listing that begins Feature. See Cross-promotion paid extras.
The pitch disappeared from a listing after you saved it again
-
Where you see it:
Your listings, after you fetched a channel that was already listed and pressed List my channel.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The Pitch box starts empty, even for a channel that already has a pitch. Saving the form with the box empty saves an empty pitch. The listing stays listed, and the old text is not kept. List again does not do this.
-
How to fix it:
Type the pitch again and press List my channel. Next time, copy the pitch from the listing card before you save the form.
Your listing says "Listed" but partners cannot find it
-
Where you see it:
Your listings shows the channel as Listed, yet a partner searching the directory does not see it.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You never see your own listings in the directory, so searching for it yourself tells you nothing. A listing is also not offered to other members while its channel does not meet the Cross-Promotion channel rules.
-
How to fix it:
Ask a partner to search for your @handle with All genres selected. If they cannot find it, try starting a campaign with that channel. A refusal there names the reason. If the channel should qualify, send support its @handle.
The open-campaigns board
These messages appear on the Open campaigns tab and on the page that opens when you pick a campaign from it. See Reading an open campaign before you join.
"No open campaigns on the board right now. Create one and list it, or check back soon."
-
Where you see it:
The Open campaigns tab. If the list cannot be read, you see "Couldn't load the board." instead.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
No other member has a campaign listed at the moment. Your own campaigns are not shown to you on the board.
-
How to fix it:
Create a campaign and press List on the board on its campaign page, or come back later. If the board did not load, refresh the page.
"Someone else already joined this campaign."
-
Where you see it:
The open-campaign page. The line under it reads "Each code takes one partner, and another channel got there first."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Another channel took the place before you did. Nothing was joined.
-
How to fix it:
Press Back to the board to pick another campaign, or Create my own to start one.
"This code has expired."
-
Where you see it:
The open-campaign page. The line under it reads "It reached its expiry before a swap was agreed, so it can no longer be joined. The board only lists campaigns that are still open."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The campaign's code ran out before anyone agreed a swap on it. Nothing happened on your side.
-
How to fix it:
Press Back to the board to pick another campaign, or Create my own.
"The creator cancelled this campaign."
-
Where you see it:
The open-campaign page. The line under it reads "Its code no longer works. The board only lists campaigns that are still open."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The member who created the campaign cancelled it after you opened the board. Nothing happened on your side.
-
How to fix it:
Press Back to the board and choose another campaign, or press Create my own.
"This campaign’s go-live time has passed."
-
Where you see it:
The open-campaign page. The line under it reads "The time it offered has gone, so it is no longer on the board." A related title is "This campaign is no longer open.", with "It is no longer on the board, so it can’t be joined from here. The board only lists campaigns that are still open."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Nobody joined before the offered go-live time, or the campaign left the board for another reason, such as its creator taking it off. A mistyped address shows the second title too.
-
How to fix it:
Press Back to the board and choose a campaign that is still open, or press Create my own.
"We couldn’t load this campaign."
-
Where you see it:
The open-campaign page. The line under it reads "The connection hiccuped — nothing was joined or changed. Try again in a moment." You may also see "This campaign could not be loaded." or, with scripts switched off in your browser, "This page needs JavaScript. Enable it to see this campaign's partner, record and schedule."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The page could not be read this time. Nothing was joined or changed.
-
How to fix it:
Wait a moment and press Retry. If the page asks for JavaScript, switch it on in your browser settings and reload.
"Set your channel on the board’s “Find partners” tab to see how evenly this swap would trade."
-
Where you see it:
The Their track record panel of the open-campaign page. Other lines there are "Their record didn’t load just now. It doesn’t change what joining commits you to — but if the record matters to your decision, refresh before you take the slot." and "No record to show yet."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You opened the page without a channel set, or the creator's record did not load. The page still works. Only the comparison is missing.
-
How to fix it:
Set your channel with Use channel on Find partners, then open the campaign again from the board. If the record did not load, refresh the page.
"Only an open campaign you created can be listed on the board."
-
Where you see it:
The campaign page, after pressing List on the board or Remove from board. A variant is "Could not update the board listing."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A partner joined, or the campaign closed, after your page loaded. Only a campaign that is still waiting for a partner can be on the board. The listing was not changed.
-
How to fix it:
Refresh the campaign page. If a partner has joined, the campaign has already left the board by itself.
You pressed "Join this campaign" and the join page refused
-
Where you see it:
The Join page, which opens after you press Join this campaign on the open-campaign page.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The checks on your account and your channel run on the Join page, not on the open-campaign page. You were not joined.
-
How to fix it:
Read the message on the Join page and find it on this page, under "Entering a code and joining", "Fetching your channel" or "Account standing and who you can swap with".
