Recurring Promos
Found a partner worth keeping? A recurring swap repeats the partnership on a cadence you choose โ weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Each round is created automatically ahead of go-live with both sides' posts carried over, so there is nothing to redo: no new code, no re-confirmation, no rebuilding posts.
Recurring swaps are available on every plan, to both parties, and cost nothing.
Before you startโ
- You need a campaign with that partner that has reached Confirmed or later โ scheduled, live, wrapping up or completed all work.
- Both channels must be attached โ there is no partner to repeat with until someone has joined.
- One live recurrence per channel pair, per direction. You cannot open a second while one is pending, active or paused between the same two channels.
Step by step: proposing a recurring swapโ
- Open the campaign page. The ๐ Recurring swap panel reads: "Swap with this partner on repeat โ we auto-set-up each round and carry your posts over. Nothing to redo."
- Choose a cadence: Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly.
- That is the proposal sent. Your panel now reads "Waiting for your partner to acceptโฆ", with a Cancel proposal button if you change your mind.
Either participant can be the one to propose. The panel carries the series' own OFCR- ID โ quote that when you write to support about the repeat rather than about one round of it.
Accepting or decliningโ
Your partner sees the proposal in two places โ the ๐ Recurring swap panel on the shared campaign page, and the Recurring tab of the Find Partners page โ with the cadence and Accept / Decline buttons.
- Accept โ the partnership becomes Active and the panel shows a pill reading Active ยท weekly (or your cadence). Both of you get a DM.
- Decline โ the proposal is dismissed. The campaign itself is unaffected.
The pill states the cadence and nothing more. To see when the next round actually lands, wait for the round to be minted โ it appears as a normal campaign in My Cross-Promotions, with its own go-live โ or check the Recurring tab, which links to the current round with Open current campaign โ.
How rounds runโ
- 48 hours before each go-live the next round is created automatically โ already confirmed, on the same cadence, carrying both sides' posts from the previous round and both approvals with them. It flows straight through to delivery with no manual step.
- You can still edit your post on the new round before go-live. The normal editing rules apply โ an edit resets your partner's approval, and they must re-approve.
- Each round is a full campaign of its own, with its own code, campaign page and results, so your history shows every round separately.
- A missed occurrence is skipped rather than minted stale: if a round's slot passes while the recurrence is paused, the schedule rolls forward to the next one.
An automatic round is never blocked by your monthly initiation cap โ the sweeper mints it regardless of whether you have room. But each round does count toward that month's usage. A weekly recurring swap therefore consumes roughly four initiations a month of your plan's allowance, which is what you will hit when you go to create something by hand. Watch the plan strip on the create page, and factor recurring rounds in before you set up several at once. See Rules and fairness.
If a round cannot be minted, there is no email, no DM and no banner โ the failure is recorded on the server and nothing more. If a round you expected does not appear, check the Recurring tab: the series may be paused, or ended by your partner. If it is still Active and no round arrived, the next occurrence will be attempted on schedule; contact support if two in a row go missing.
Managing a recurring swapโ
Manage from the campaign page's panel or from the Recurring tab at /telegram/dashboard/cross-promotion/discover.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Pause | Stops new rounds from being created; the partnership is kept |
| Resume | Picks the schedule back up, rolling forward past any occurrence missed while paused |
| End | Ends the recurring partnership for good (two-tap Confirm end) |
| Cancel proposal | While Pending โ withdraws a proposal you sent |
Either partner can pause, resume or end at any time. The partnership is fully mutual, and neither side needs the other's agreement to stop it.
The Recurring tab lists every partnership that has not ended, with the partner's name, a status pill, the cadence, the series' OFCR- ID, Open current campaign โ, and the actions above. Header copy: "Partnerships set to repeat. Each round is auto-set-up ahead of go-live with your posts carried over โ pause or end anytime." Empty state: "No recurring swaps yet. Set one up from a confirmed campaign to auto-rebook with a partner."
Recurring statusesโ
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Proposed; waiting for the partner to accept or decline |
| Active | Rounds are created automatically on the cadence |
| Paused | Kept, but no new rounds are created until resumed |
An ended partnership disappears from the list. You can always propose a fresh one from any confirmed campaign with that partner.
If something goes wrongโ
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Pick a weekly, fortnightly or monthly cadence." | The cadence sent was not 7, 14 or 30 days. | Use one of the three buttons. |
| "Your partner accepts your proposal." | You tried to accept your own proposal. | Wait for them, or Cancel proposal and let them propose instead. |
| "That action can't be applied right now." | The recurrence changed state between your page load and your tap โ for example your partner ended it. | Reload the Recurring tab for its current state. |
| No ๐ Recurring swap panel on the campaign | The campaign has not reached Confirmed, or it has no partner yet. | Confirm the schedule first; the panel appears from Confirmed onward. |
| You cannot propose a second recurrence with the same partner | One live recurrence per channel pair, per direction. | End or resume the existing one instead of opening another. |
| A round you expected never appeared | The series may be paused or ended โ or the mint failed silently. | Check the Recurring tab first. See the warning above. |
| Rounds are eating your monthly allowance | Expected โ see the warning above. | Pause a series you are not using, or reduce the cadence by ending it and proposing monthly instead. |
Pause my recurring swap with @partner, resume it, end it, accept it or decline it manages a series from the chat; recurring swaps lists them. Each change waits for CONFIRM. What the assistant can do for you has the full list and the confirmation rule.
