22 September 2026 — the exchange runs only when the pool can carry it

One rule, enforced twice: a Subscriber Exchange ad runs only while the exchange holds as many eligible channels as the placements your plan schedules for it in a cycle. Enrolling a channel is never limited by it — hosting is what grows the pool.

Subscriber Exchange

  • A submit the pool cannot carry is refused, with nothing charged. You see the exact numbers ("your plan runs this ad in 9 different channels a cycle, and only 4 eligible channels accept it right now — 5 short"), the ad is not created, no credits or wallet money move, and nothing goes to review. The reach line on the builder says the same before you press Submit, so widening the audience or lowering the level can be enough on its own.
  • You are on the list, and you are told. The hub keeps a Waiting for the pool card with the live numbers. The moment the pool grows to your quota you are told on Telegram, by email, in your notifications on the site and by browser push where you allowed one — with the count then and now. The pool grows as other members enrol (an ad is never placed in its own advertiser's channels, so adding one of your own raises their reach, not yours), and the check runs within seconds of any enrolment.
  • An approved ad holds only while the pool holds its quota. If the pool later falls short, the ad is paused (nothing charged, live placements finish their window, its row and the Why? diagnostic say why) and resumes on its own — with a notice each way — the moment the pool recovers.
  • A pause never costs you your place in the cycle. The campaign keeps the schedule it was already on: if the next placement was not due for two days, that is still when it goes out, and the 30-day cycle boundary is kept exactly, so a pause can neither burst your drops nor start your next cycle early. The resume notice says which of the two you are getting. The same now holds for a campaign paused because you stopped hosting and resumed when you enrolled again — that path used to front-load the next drop, which between cycles meant a new cycle on demand.
  • Enrolment is unchanged and unrestricted by any of this. Add your channels whenever you like; the exchange needs them.

Behind the scenes

  • The Onflow Ads team can now see every channel in the exchange — owner, level, size, load, standing, any ban — search it by handle, id or email, open its placements and record, and suspend, lift, re-level or remove it (optionally with a ban), with the owner told on every leg each time. The Telegram registry card opens straight onto it.
  • Exchange messages from the bot now retry in plain form when Telegram rejects animated emoji, so a message is never lost to a lapsed Premium account or a moved emoji pack.
