Blog FAQ
Short answers to the questions readers ask about the Onflow Ads blog at https://blogs.onflowads.com. Each answer links to the page with the full steps.
About the Onflow Ads blog
What the Onflow Ads blog is, how it relates to this guide, and how much weight to give what a post says.
What is the Onflow Ads blog?
It is a public site of articles at https://blogs.onflowads.com. The articles are about advertising in Telegram channels, growing a channel, earning from one, and product news. It is a separate address from the product, run by the same company. The Onflow Ads blog gives the full picture.
How is the blog different from this guide and the changelog?
Each has one job. The blog holds articles and ideas. This guide explains how each feature works, step by step, with the current plans, limits and rules. The changelog is the dated record of what changed in the product.
Is something written in a blog post a rule or a promise?
No. A blog post is an article, written on a certain day. It is not part of the product's terms. What counts is this guide, the product's own screens and the Terms and Conditions. If a post and your own screen differ, your screen is right.
Where do I find current prices, plans and limits?
On the pricing page and in the Plans section of this guide, never in a blog post. A post may mention a price or a limit, but those are the writer's words on the day of writing. The figure on your own screen is the one that applies to you.
Accounts, plans and cost
The blog asks for no account, no plan and no payment. These answers cover what that means for a member and for a visitor.
Do I need an Onflow Ads account to read the blog?
No. Everything on the blog is open without an account: reading, searching, sharing, rating, subscribing by email, following in a feed reader and commenting. The blog never asks you to sign in.
Does my plan change anything on the blog?
No. A reader without an account and a member on Free, Lite, Plus, Elite, Master or Ultimate all get the same pages. The blog has no locked part and no upgrade prompt.
Does anything on the blog cost money?
No. Reading, subscribing, commenting and following a feed are free for everyone. Nothing on the blog takes money from your wallet, holds it or pays it out.
Am I signed in on the blog?
No, and you do not need to be. The blog is a separate site and does not use your Onflow Ads sign-in, so its top bar shows Sign in and Get started. You are still signed in on onflowads.com. The card about this on The Onflow Ads blog says what to do, which is nothing.
Does the Telegram bot send new blog posts?
No. The bot has no blog commands and does not announce new posts. To hear about new posts, subscribe by email or use a feed reader.
Following the blog
There are two ways to follow the Onflow Ads blog: new posts by email, or a feed reader. These answers cover both.
How often will the blog email me?
Once per new post, and nothing else. You get posts written in the language of the page you subscribed on. The first email you get is the confirmation email, which asks you to confirm your address. Getting new blog posts by email shows what the email contains.
Does creating an Onflow Ads account subscribe me to the blog?
No. The blog's email list is separate from your account. You are on it only if you typed your address into the subscribe box on the blog and then pressed the link in the confirmation email.
Can I stop blog emails from my account's email settings?
No. Blog emails are a separate list and are not switched on or off in your account's email settings. Press Unsubscribe in any blog email, then press the Unsubscribe button on the page that opens. The steps are on Getting new blog posts by email.
Will I get posts that were published before I subscribed?
No. You get an email for each post published after you confirmed your address. Earlier posts stay on the blog, where you can read them at any time.
Can I follow only one section of the blog?
Yes, with a feed reader. Each section has its own feed address, so your feed reader collects only that section's posts. Email covers the whole blog. See Following the blog in a feed reader.
Is there a feed for feed readers?
Yes. The feed for the whole blog is at https://blogs.onflowads.com/rss.xml. Press RSS feed in the blog's footer to get a page with the address and a Copy the address button. A feed needs no account and no email address.
What happens if I press the confirmation link twice?
Nothing is doubled. The page says "You are subscribed" again, you stay subscribed once, and you still get one email per new post.
Comments and ratings
How comments on a blog post are handled, and what the question "Was this post helpful?" records about you.
Can anyone comment on a blog post?
Yes, when the blog has comments switched on and the post has them. You need a name and an email address, not an account. Commenting on a blog post has the steps.
Why is a comment not shown straight away?
Because the blog's team reads every comment before it is shown. Until then the post's page shows nothing new. The comments page explains what happens to a comment you send.
Will I be told when my comment is approved or answered?
No. No message is sent to you when a comment is approved, not approved or answered. Come back to the post to look. An answer from the blog's team carries the tag Blog team.
Is my email address shown with my comment?
Never. The comment shows the name you typed, the date and your words. Your email address is for the blog's team only.
Can I edit or delete my comment?
Not yourself. There is no edit or delete button for readers. Write to support at https://onflowads.com/support with the post's address, the name on the comment, its date and its first words.
Can I change my answer to "Was this post helpful?"
No. Once you press Yes or No, the answer stands, and the same browser shows the question as answered on later visits. See Sharing and rating blog posts.
What does the blog know about me when I rate a post?
Nothing about you. Only a count of the Yes and No answers is kept. Your name, your email address and your account are not part of it.
Getting help with the blog
The blog has no Help button of its own. These answers say how to reach support from the blog and what to send.
Where is the Help button on the blog?
There is none. Blog pages do not carry the Help button or the support chat. Open https://onflowads.com/support, which opens the support chat for anyone, signed in or not. You can also press Contact in the blog's footer.
What should I send support about a blog problem?
Send what you were doing and the exact message you saw. Add the address of the post or page, the date, and the email address you subscribed or commented with. For an email problem, add the email in question. Never send a password.
Where are the fixes for blog messages?
On two pages. Troubleshooting the blog covers opening the blog, searching, reading, sharing and feeds. Troubleshooting blog emails and comments covers the subscribe box, the emails, unsubscribing and comments.
