The Onflow Ads blog

The Onflow Ads blog is a public site of articles at https://blogs.onflowads.com. Read it for ideas and background; use this guide when you need to do something in the product.

Available on every plan

Anyone can read the blog and follow it, and comment where comments are on. You do not need an account, and no plan changes anything here.

What the Onflow Ads blog isโ€‹

The blog publishes articles about advertising in Telegram channels, growing a channel, earning from one, and product news. It has its own address, https://blogs.onflowads.com, and it belongs to the same company as the product.

It wears the same top bar and menu as onflowads.com. Its footer links back to the product, to this guide and to the legal pages.

The blog is free for everyone. Nothing there costs money, earns money or touches your wallet.

How the blog differs from this guide and the changelogโ€‹

Diagram Three places, three jobs. Read the blog for ideas, use this guide for how things work now, and check the changelog for what changed.

  • The blog holds articles: ideas, general how-tos about Telegram advertising, and product news written as articles.
  • This guide explains how each feature works, step by step, with the current plans, limits and rules.
  • The changelog is the dated record of what changed in the product, and when.

A blog post is an article, not the product's terms. If a post and this guide or your own screen ever differ, the guide and your screen are right.

How to open the blogโ€‹

  1. Open any page of onflowads.com.
  2. On a wide screen, such as a computer's, press Blog in the top bar. On a phone or in a narrow window, open the menu and press Blog.

Elite plan ยท Channel owner โ€” the menu on a phone, with the Blog row On a phone or in a narrow window the blog is a row of the menu. 1 The Blog row. For a signed-in member it sits directly above Sign out. The row looks the same and is in the same place on every plan.

  1. The blog opens on Latest, its list of posts with the newest first. No sign-in is asked for.

Signed out โ€” the blog's front page This is the page everyone lands on, with or without an account. 1 The Blog word on the main site's top bar is how you get here. 2 Latest and one link per section. 3 The search box for the blog. 4 The featured post, with its section, date and reading time above the title. The heading Latest posts under it starts the rest of the list, newest first.

There are three other ways in:

  • Press Blog in the footer of onflowads.com.
  • Press Blog in the top bar of this guide.
  • Type blogs.onflowads.com in your browser.

On the blog, the top bar shows Sign in and Get started even when you are signed in on onflowads.com. That is expected; the first card under "If something goes wrong" explains it.

What you can do on the blogโ€‹

Each task has its own page in this section:

For answers and fixes:

The subscribe box, comments, the rating question and the share buttons are the blog's own choices. The blog can switch any of them off, so a page may not show all of them.

The blog and the Telegram botโ€‹

The bot has no part in the blog. It has no blog commands, it does not announce new posts, and you cannot subscribe or comment from it. To follow the blog, use email or a feed reader.

You can still send a post into Telegram yourself. Press the Telegram button in the Share row at the end of a post.

If something goes wrongโ€‹

These three things surprise readers who arrive on the blog from onflowads.com. None of them is a fault, and none needs a fix.

The blog shows Sign in although you are signed in on Onflow Adsโ€‹

  • Where you see it:

The top bar of every blog page shows Sign in and Get started.

  • Plans affected:

Every plan, and readers without an account.

  • Why it happens:

The blog is a separate site and does not use your Onflow Ads sign-in. You are still signed in on onflowads.com. The blog does not need to know who you are.

  • How to fix it:

Nothing needs fixing. Any link to the main site in the bar or the footer takes you back to onflowads.com, where you are still signed in. Do not type your password because of this.

There is no Help button or chat on the blogโ€‹

  • Where you see it:

Every blog page. The Help button you know from onflowads.com is not there.

  • Plans affected:

Every plan, and readers without an account.

  • Why it happens:

The blog's pages do not carry the Help button or the support chat. Support is reached through onflowads.com.

  • How to fix it:

Open https://onflowads.com/support, which opens the support chat for anyone, signed in or not. You can also press Contact in the blog's footer.

The address in the address bar changes by itselfโ€‹

  • Where you see it:

Your browser's address bar, right after you open a blog link.

  • Plans affected:

Every plan, and readers without an account.

  • Why it happens:

An old or mistyped address was sent on to the right one. This happens when a post has moved, or when the address had capital letters or a slash at the end.

  • How to fix it:

Nothing needs fixing. You are on the correct page. Bookmark the address you landed on.

Fixes for every other blog message are on Troubleshooting the blog and Troubleshooting blog emails and comments.
