Troubleshooting AI features
Every message and symptom an AI tool on the website can show, grouped by what you were doing. Find the message you see, or the thing that is not working. Every card says whether anything was used from your allowance — in almost every case, nothing was.
Opening the AI popup and finding the AI button
These cards cover the moment before you ask for anything: the popup will not open properly, the AI button is missing, or the page around it did not load.
"Could not read your AI allowance - you can still try."
-
Where you see it:
The status line of the AI popup, in any composer on the website. A related sign is "Checking what your plan includes…" that does not clear.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The popup could not read your allowance, usually because of a slow or dropped connection. Text today can read "0 left" and a card may say "A higher plan can create AI images for a post." Neither is your real figure. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Press Generate anyway; your real allowance applies when it runs. If the popup still looks wrong, close it, check your connection, reload the page and open it again.
There is no Write it with AI field in the composer
-
Where you see it:
A Blitz post or Blitz slot claim, the Paid Promotions templates editor, the note to the channel owner in a booking, and a booking page opened without a channel.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Those places have no AI tools by design. Nothing is wrong with your account or your plan.
-
How to fix it:
Write the text by hand there. For a paid placement, open the booking from a channel in the marketplace, and the field appears on the Write step.
"We couldn't load that channel to book."
-
Where you see it:
The Paid Promotions booking page, with "It may have been removed, or the link is missing its listing. The marketplace has plenty more." A variant reads "We couldn't load this booking." with "Check your connection, then try again. Nothing was booked or charged."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The page has no channel to book, the channel has left the marketplace, or the page failed to load. Without a booking there are no AI controls. Nothing was charged or used.
-
How to fix it:
Press Back to marketplace and open the booking from the channel. On the second message, check your connection and press Try again.
"The composer is still loading — try again in a moment."
-
Where you see it:
A Cross-Promotion campaign page, after Save post. The Subscriber Exchange ad builder says "The editor is still loading — try again in a moment." after Continue.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You pressed the button before the post box finished loading. Nothing was saved and nothing was used from your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Wait a moment and press the button again. If the post box never appears, reload the page.
"Please sign in to use AI features."
-
Where you see it:
Under any AI control on the website. Some pages say "Please sign in to continue."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You were signed out while the page was open. Nothing was used. Text you have not saved can be lost if you reload, although bookings and exchange ads keep their draft.
-
How to fix it:
Sign in again in another browser tab, return to this tab and press the button again.
"AI insights now live on onflowads.com — open your dashboard there."
-
Where you see it:
A pop-up in the Telegram bot, when you press an AI button on an old bot message.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The AI tools are on the website only. The bot no longer runs them, so buttons on earlier messages lead nowhere. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Open your dashboard on the website and use the AI tools there. AI features overview shows where each one is.
Drafting text on the Generate tab
These cards cover the Generate tab of the AI popup: a brief that is refused, a draft that does not arrive, and what happens after Apply to my post.
"Tell the AI what the post is about first."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Generate tab. Longer variants: "Describe the ad you want, and I’ll draft it." on a booking, "Describe the channel or offer you’re promoting." in the Subscriber Exchange, and "Tell the AI what to write about (a sentence or two)."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The brief is empty or only a few characters long. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Write at least a full sentence about the channel or offer, then press Generate. In the Subscriber Exchange, name the subject in the brief: the AI does not see the topic you picked for the ad.
"Wait for a partner to join before drafting your post."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup on a Cross-Promotion campaign. Related messages: "Your channel isn’t attached to this campaign yet.", "You don’t have access to this campaign.", "Campaign not found." and "That code doesn’t look right."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The campaign has no partner yet, your channel is not part of it, or the campaign no longer exists. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Wait until a partner joins, then open the popup again. If the campaign cannot be found, open it again from your Cross-Promotion dashboard.
"Couldn’t draft that just now — no action was used."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Generate tab, in every composer. The Refine tab says "The AI couldn't generate that just now — no action was used. Please try again in a moment." or "The AI returned an empty result — no action was used. Try again."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The AI returned nothing usable, or the AI tools are unavailable for a while. On a booking, a draft longer than Telegram's 1,024-character caption is also dropped. Your post is untouched and nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Press Generate again. If it repeats, shorten the brief or the instruction, or try later and write by hand meanwhile.
"The draft broke our content rules, so it was not used and no action was spent. Try a different brief."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Generate tab. On the Refine tab it reads "The draft broke our content rules, so it was not used and no action was used. Try a different brief."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
What the AI wrote did not pass the content rules, so the draft was withheld. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Reword the brief: state the offer plainly and remove guaranteed outcomes. On Refine, change the copy itself. See Content rules for the AI tools.
"The AI could not do that just now - nothing was used."
-
Where you see it:
The status line of the AI popup, on any tab. Close variants: "The AI returned nothing - nothing was used." and "The AI returned no image - nothing was used."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan. The image wording appears on Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The request failed, or came back with no text or picture in it. Nothing was applied to your post.
-
How to fix it:
Try again in a moment. Reload the page and look at the meter. If it dropped and you got no result, tell support the time and the page you were on.
"Network error - please try again."
-
Where you see it:
The status line of the AI popup, on any tab.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The request did not complete: the connection dropped, or the wait ran too long. Nothing was applied to your post.
-
How to fix it:
Check your connection and try again. Reload the page and look at the meter. If it dropped and you got no result, tell support the time and the page you were on.
The character counter turns red after Apply to my post
-
Where you see it:
Above the post box in any composer, at its top right. The checks then say "Too long — Telegram allows 1,024 characters in a caption when a photo or video is attached (4,096 for a text-only post)." on a booking, "Trim the post to fit the 1024-character limit." on a campaign, or "That text is over the limit for this post." in the Subscriber Exchange.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The applied draft is longer than the post can be. 33 characters are held back for the “advertisement via onflowads.com” line, so the usable length is 991 with media and 4,063 for a text-only post.
-
How to fix it:
Trim the post until the counter is no longer red, or undo the change. The post cannot be saved or booked while it is too long.
Nothing seems to happen after Apply to my post
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, in every composer. The popup closes without a confirmation message.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Applying puts the draft or picture into the post box and the live preview. It does not store the post.
-
How to fix it:
Look at the post box and the preview, then save the post the way that composer saves: Save post, Continue and submit, or Add to cart.
Improving copy on the Refine tab
The Refine tab is in the AI popup on a Cross-Promotion campaign only. These cards cover its own messages and the general "unavailable" messages.
"There is no copy to improve yet."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Refine tab, on a Cross-Promotion campaign. A variant reads "Paste the copy you want the AI to improve."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Copy to improve is empty, because the post was empty when you opened the popup. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Type or paste your copy into Copy to improve and press Generate. Or close the popup, write the post, and open the popup again.
Copy to improve shows marks around some words
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Refine tab, when your post has bold text, italics or links.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Refine receives your post with its formatting, so that links and emphasis survive the rewrite. Nothing is wrong.
-
How to fix it:
Leave the marks in place. Delete them only if you want the AI to work on the plain words alone.
"AI is temporarily unavailable. Please try again shortly."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup. Related messages on any AI control: "This AI feature is currently turned off." and "Unknown AI feature."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The AI tools, or that one tool, can be unavailable for a while. "Unknown AI feature." usually means the page has been open for a long time. Nothing was used, and the rest of the website is not affected.
-
How to fix it:
Reload the page and try once more. If the message stays, write or upload by hand and try again another day.
Creating a picture with the Image tab or Generate image with AI
These cards cover AI pictures: the Image tab of the popup, and Generate image with AI on the Media step of a paid placement booking. AI images are part of Master and Ultimate.
"AI images are not available on this account."
-
Where you see it:
The Image tab of the AI popup, in place of the description box. A card titled "AI images" says "the plan named and above can create AI images for a post." with See plans. The same sentence can appear under Generate image with AI on a booking.
-
Plans affected:
Free, Lite, Plus and Elite.
-
Why it happens:
Your plan does not include AI images. There is no Generate image button, so nothing can be used.
-
How to fix it:
Upload your own picture on the media step of the composer, or press See plans to compare plans.
Elite plan · Advertiser The Image tab on a plan without AI images. Free, Lite and Plus see the same thing. 1 The sentence that replaces the description box. 2 The card that names the plan with AI images, with See plans. 3 The meters show Text today only; there is no image meter. 4 The only button is Cancel, so nothing can be used here. You can still upload your own picture on the Media step.
"This AI feature isn’t included on this account."
-
Where you see it:
Under Generate image with AI on a booking, and on the card that slides in beside other AI helpers. A variant reads "AI image generation isn’t included on this account." The card is titled "the plan named unlocks this".
-
Plans affected:
The plans below the one the card names. For pictures: Free, Lite, Plus and Elite.
-
Why it happens:
Your plan does not include that AI tool. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Do the step by hand, for example by uploading your own photo. Or press See plans; AI allowance and limits by plan lists what each plan includes.
"Image generation is limited while your reliability recovers."
-
Where you see it:
The Image tab of the AI popup, and under Generate image with AI on a booking.
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Your plan includes AI images, but your reliability standing is currently Building or Low. Images are off until it is back at Fair. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Open your Reliability page and complete what is in progress cleanly and on time. Images return by themselves. See Your reliability score and appeals.
"Image generation is temporarily unavailable."
-
Where you see it:
The Image tab of the AI popup, also as "Image generation is temporarily unavailable. Please try again shortly." Variants: "AI images are not available right now.", "AI images are not available on your account right now." and "This AI feature isn’t available right now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The AI image tool is unavailable for a while. Text tools may still work. No plan card appears, because no plan would change it. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Reload the page and open the popup again. If the message stays, upload your own picture and try again another day.
"Describe the image you want."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, Image tab. Variants: "Describe the image you want the AI to create." and "Describe the ad image you want the AI to create."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Describe the image is empty or only a few characters long. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Describe the scene in a full sentence — the subject, the setting and the mood — then press Generate image.
"Describe your ad first — a brief or the post text."
-
Where you see it:
The Media step of a paid placement booking, after pressing Generate image with AI.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
This button builds the picture from your post text, and the post is still empty. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Write the post on the Write step first. On Master and Ultimate you can instead open the popup's Image tab and describe the picture directly.
"You've used your AI image allowance (daily and/or monthly). Daily resets at 00:00 UTC, monthly on the 1st."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Image tab, and under Generate image with AI. A shorter variant reads "You've used your AI image allowance."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Today's or this month's AI images are used. Images this month can read "0 left" when only today's are gone. No upgrade card appears, because no plan has a larger image allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the reset: 00:00 UTC for the day, the 1st for the month. Until then, upload your own picture.
"The AI couldn't create that image just now — no image was used. Please try again in a moment."
-
Where you see it:
The Image tab and Generate image with AI. Booking variants: "The image couldn't be kept for your ad post — no image was used. Please try again in a moment." and "Couldn't create that image just now — no image was used."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The AI image tool returned nothing, or the picture could not be kept for your post. The image went back to your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Try again with a simpler scene. If it keeps failing, upload a photo instead.
"The generated image broke our content rules, so it was not used and no image was spent. Try a different description."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Image tab, and under Generate image with AI. One variant reads "The generated image broke our content rules, so it was not used and no image was used. Try a different description."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The picture the AI drew did not pass the content rules, so it was withheld. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Describe a different subject. Content rules for the AI tools lists what a picture may not show.
"Your ad post could not be saved yet - nothing was used. Please try again."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Image tab on a paid placement booking.
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The booking has to save your ad post before a picture can be made for it, and that save failed. No picture was generated and nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Try again. If it repeats, go to the Check step of the booking: the real reason, such as a link your plan cannot use, is shown there.
"That image is no longer available. Generate it again."
-
Where you see it:
A booking, after Apply to my post on a generated picture. Variants: "Generate an image first.", "Couldn't add that image — try again." and "That image couldn't be added just now. Please try again in a moment."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The picture waited too long before you applied it, a newer picture replaced it, or it was already applied. Your ad post is unchanged. The earlier picture still counts, because it was delivered to the preview.
-
How to fix it:
Generate again and apply the new picture straight away. Press Download image to keep a copy of a picture worth keeping.
"Couldn’t save that image — no image was used. Please try again."
-
Where you see it:
The Image tab on a Cross-Promotion campaign, also as "The image came back unusable (the reason shown) — no image was used. Please try again." or "Image storage isn’t ready yet — no image was used. Please try again." In the Subscriber Exchange: "Telegram wouldn’t accept the generated image (Telegram's reason). No image was used.", "Couldn’t attach the generated image — no image was used. Please try again in a moment." or "Telegram didn’t return a usable file for the generated image — no image was used. Please try again."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The picture was made but could not be attached to your post. It went back to your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Try again. If it repeats, upload your own picture.
"This campaign is managed in Telegram."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Image tab on a Cross-Promotion campaign.
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The campaign was started in the Telegram bot, not on the website, so the website cannot add a picture to it. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Handle this campaign's post in Telegram. To use an AI picture next time, start the campaign on the website.
"Media uploads aren’t available yet."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Image tab in the Subscriber Exchange. Related messages: "Adding images to exchange ads is paused for a moment. Please try again later.", "Connect your Telegram account to use the exchange." and "The Subscriber Exchange needs a reliability score of at least the required score/10 — yours is your score/10. Honour your placements to earn it back."
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Pictures cannot be attached to exchange ads right now, or your account does not yet meet what the exchange needs. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Do what the message names: link Telegram, or rebuild your reliability. Otherwise try later, and submit a text-only ad meanwhile.
"Your plan attaches up to your plan's limit item(s) to an ad post."
-
Where you see it:
A booking, on the Image tab or Generate image with AI. Two related refusals: "This template is past your plan’s library allowance, so it is read-only for now. It is kept exactly as it is." and one that begins "Telegram caps a caption at 1,024 characters when a photo or video is attached".
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
The ad post already holds as many photos as your plan allows, it is a read-only template, or its text is longer than the 991 characters a post with media can carry. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Remove a photo, shorten the text on the Write step, or start from a blank post.
A video attached to the ad post disappears after adding an AI picture
-
Where you see it:
A paid placement booking, after Apply to my post on a picture or after Generate image with AI.
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
An ad post holds photos or one video, never both. Adding a generated photo removes the video without asking. Pressing Cancel in the popup leaves the video in place.
-
How to fix it:
Keep your original video file. If the video was the creative you wanted, upload it again; that removes the photos.
"Opened it in a new tab — save it from there."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup, after pressing Download image.
-
Plans affected:
Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Your browser would not save the file directly, so the picture opened in a new tab. Nothing was lost, and applying the picture does not depend on downloading it.
-
How to fix it:
Go to the new tab and save the picture from there, using your browser's own save option.
Allowance, waiting and paused AI
These cards cover every AI control on the website: your allowance has run out, you are asked to wait, AI is paused on your account, or the site itself is busy.
"You've used today's AI actions. They reset at 00:00 UTC."
-
Where you see it:
Any AI text control. Some pages word it "You've used today's AI actions." or "You’ve used today’s AI actions — pick a time above, or try again tomorrow." In an order's proof trail it replaces the button.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Today's AI text actions are used. Nothing was used by this attempt. A card offers the next plan, except on Master and Ultimate.
-
How to fix it:
Wait until 00:00 UTC, or press the upgrade button on the card. Pick the time, date or partner by hand meanwhile. If tomorrow shows the same message, the month has run out: wait for the 1st.
Free plan · Subscriber Exchange What you see when today's AI text action is already used. The refused attempt used nothing. 1 The message names what ran out and when it resets. 2 The meter reads "0 left". 3 The card and its Upgrade to Lite button. On Master and Ultimate no card appears, because no plan has a larger allowance.
"You've used this month's AI actions. They reset on the 1st of the month (UTC)."
-
Where you see it:
Any AI text control on the website: the popup, Fix to pass, What does this prove?, Targeting copilot and the cart's overlap advice.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
This month's AI text actions are used. Nothing was used by this attempt.
-
How to fix it:

"You've used your daily and/or monthly AI actions."
-
Where you see it:
Any AI text control. The popup can also say "You have used your AI allowance for now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your daily or monthly allowance is used, and the page could not tell which. Nothing was used by this attempt.
-
How to fix it:
Open the AI popup and read Text today. If it reads "0 left" on a day you have not used AI, the month is what ran out. Try again after the reset.
"You've used your AI text allowance (daily and/or monthly). Daily resets at 00:00 UTC, monthly on the 1st."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup's Refine tab on a Cross-Promotion campaign. A variant reads "You've used today's AI text actions."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your daily or monthly AI text actions are used. Nothing was used by this attempt, and the meters refresh to show it.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the reset the message names. On Free, Lite, Plus and Elite you can also upgrade. You can still edit the copy by hand and save the post.
The meter shows a number you did not expect
-
Where you see it:
Text today or Images this month in the AI popup.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The meter shows whichever has less room left, the day or the month. So it reads "0 left" on a fresh day when the month is used. After a successful Generate, the meter can also keep its old number until the page reloads.
-
How to fix it:
Reload the page to see the current figure. If the month is used, wait for the 1st. Master and Ultimate already have the largest allowance.
"Please wait … seconds before your next AI request."
-
Where you see it:
Any AI control pressed soon after another one. The full line is "Please wait the number of seconds shown seconds before your next AI request." With one second left it reads "Please wait 1 second before your next AI request." Some pages say "Please wait a moment before your next AI request."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
There is a short pause between two AI requests from one account. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the seconds shown, then press the button once.
"Too many attempts. Please wait a minute and try again."
-
Where you see it:
Under any AI control on the website, after pressing it many times in a short while.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The button was pressed too often in a short time. Nothing was used from your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Wait, then press once. If the message comes back, leave that control alone for a while before trying again.
"AI is paused while your account is under review."
-
Where you see it:
Every AI control. Other wordings: "AI is paused on your account while a review is open." and, on Refine, "AI is paused on your account while a review is open. It returns as soon as the review is resolved." A card adds "It comes back automatically the moment the review is resolved — no upgrade needed."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A review is open on your account. Every AI tool that uses your allowance, text and images, is off until it closes. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Nothing is needed for AI; it returns by itself. Contact support only about the review itself.
"Your AI quota is limited by reliability"
-
Where you see it:
A card beside an out-of-allowance message. It says "Your reliability is Low or Building (your score/10), so your AI is throttled to a smaller daily allowance."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You ran out while your reliability standing is Low or Building. Your allowance is smaller than your plan's until you are back at Fair.
-
How to fix it:
Press Improve reliability and finish your current deals cleanly and on time. See Your reliability score and appeals.
"That request breaks our content policy. Please try a different, on-topic prompt."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup on any tab, and under Generate image with AI. The popup can shorten it to "That request breaks our content policy."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
What you typed falls into a prohibited category. Nothing was generated and nothing was used. A request that breaks the rules may be reviewed by a person.
-
How to fix it:
Restate the offer in plain advertising terms. Remove promises about money and anything that asks readers for codes, passwords or wallet phrases. If a clearly legitimate brief keeps being declined, send support its exact wording.
"The AI hit an unexpected error. Please try again in a moment."
-
Where you see it:
The AI popup. For pictures it reads "The AI hit an unexpected error. No image was used. Please try again in a moment." Site-wide variants: "This feature is temporarily unavailable. Please try again shortly.", "The site is busy right now and this did not go through. Please try again in a moment.", "The site is very busy right now and this did not go through. Nothing was changed. Please try again in a few seconds." and "Something went wrong on our side and this did not go through. Nothing was changed. Quote the reference shown if you tell us about it."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Something failed on our side. Nothing was applied to your post.
-
How to fix it:
Try again shortly. Reload the page and look at the meter. If it dropped and you got no result, tell support the time, the page and any reference shown.
"This is a channel-owner account, so it can sell slots but not book them. Booking is for advertiser accounts."
-
Where you see it:
A Paid Promotions AI control. A variant reads "Choose how you want to use the marketplace before booking."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The Paid Promotions AI tools belong to booking, which is the advertiser side of the marketplace. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
If you have not chosen a side yet, choose it on the Paid Promotions home. The side is chosen once, and a channel-owner account does not book. The AI tools in Cross-Promotion and the Subscriber Exchange do not depend on it.
Booking a paid placement: best time, Fix to pass and the compliance check

-
Plans affected:

-
Why it happens:
The best-time suggestion is part of Plus and above. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:

"Not enough recent posts on this channel to recommend a time yet — pick any slot."

Where you see it:
The Slot step of a booking. Related lines: "No upcoming slot on this channel's busy days fits the booking window — pick any slot.", "Couldn’t read this channel’s posting pattern just now — pick any slot.", "That channel isn’t available to schedule.", "Scheduling is temporarily unavailable.", "Pick the timezone your go-live time is in." and "We don’t recognise that timezone — pick another."
-
Plans affected:
Plus and above.
-
Why it happens:
The channel has too little recent posting to show a pattern, the request failed, or the channel has left the marketplace. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Pick any slot by hand. If the channel is gone, return to the marketplace.
"The best slot on this channel is day and time — further out than this picker shows. Pick the closest day above."
-
Where you see it:
The Slot step of a booking, under Suggest the best time for this channel.
-
Plans affected:
Plus and above.
-
Why it happens:
The recommended moment is later than the days the picker offers, so the picker did not move. A recommendation was made, so an AI text action was normally used.
-
How to fix it:
Choose the nearest day the picker shows, at the suggested hour.
"Write your ad post first."
-
Where you see it:
A booking, after pressing Fix to pass or Run the compliance check. A longer variant reads "Write your ad post first, then I can fix it."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post is empty, or too short to rewrite. Nothing was used from your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Write or draft the post on the Write step, then return to the Check step.
"Nothing to fix — this post already passes pre-flight."
-
Where you see it:
A booking, after pressing Fix to pass. You may also find no Fix to pass button at all.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Fix to pass rewrites a post that breaks the channel's own rules. Nothing in yours does, so nothing was used. Warnings and platform rules do not bring up the button.
-
How to fix it:
Read the result card and run the compliance check. If something else is flagged, edit that part by hand.
"Couldn’t fix that just now."
-
Where you see it:
The Check step of a booking, after Fix to pass. Sometimes the button appears to do nothing.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The rewrite failed, and the action went back to your allowance. If you edited the post while the rewrite was running, the result was discarded and the action was used.
-
How to fix it:
Do not type while it runs. Press Fix to pass again, or edit the flagged part by hand: remove the link or reword the topic.
"Your post changed"
-
Where you see it:
A notice on a booking. It says "Run the compliance check again before booking — it screens the post as it reads NOW, against Telegram's limits and this channel's rules."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
You edited the post after a result, so the earlier result no longer counts. The reverse also holds: a post that passed and has not changed shows no Run the compliance check button.
-
How to fix it:
Go to the Check step and press Run the compliance check. The check is free and uses nothing from your allowance.
"Run the compliance check first"
-
Where you see it:
A booking, after Add to cart or Continue. The notice has a Run it now button. Other wordings: "Run the compliance check before you continue." and "Run the compliance check before booking."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post as it reads now has no compliance result yet. Nothing was added to the cart and nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Press Run it now. The check is free. It is not an approval: the channel owner still reviews the post.
"Compliance check flagged this post"
-
Where you see it:
The Check step and Add to cart, also as "The compliance check flagged this post". The reason follows, for example "Promotes the category named — this channel's owner prohibits that." or "Conflicts with this channel's rule: the owner's rule."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post conflicts with a rule this channel's owner has set. The booking is blocked for this channel. Nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Edit the post on the Write step or press Fix to pass, then run the compliance check again. Or book a channel that accepts the topic.
"One thing to fix first"
-
Where you see it:
The Check step of a booking, also as "number things to fix first". The rows name each problem, for example "This channel doesn't accept posts with links — remove the link or choose another channel."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post breaks a firm rule: its length, the channel's rule on links, a topic the channel declines, or a platform rule. Nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Fix what each row names, using Fix to pass for the channel's own rules, then run the check again. If you disagree with a platform rule and the card offers Appeal, see Appealing a penalty or a decision.
"Passed, with a note"
-
Where you see it:
A booking, as a notice and an amber row. It reads "Reads as the category named — this channel's rules do not prohibit that, but the owner still reviews the post before it runs."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post reads as a sensitive category that this channel's owner has not ruled out. The check passed and the booking can go ahead.
-
How to fix it:
Nothing is required. Expect the owner to look at the post closely before accepting it.
"The AI screen was unavailable, so the owner reviews this one unaided."
-
Where you see it:
The Check step, in the notice "Compliance check passed", after "Within Telegram's limits." The result card is titled "Recorded".
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The post was checked against Telegram's limits, but the AI part of the check could not run. The check counts as run and the booking is not blocked.
-
How to fix it:
Continue with the booking; nothing else is needed. The button to run the check returns only after you edit the post.
"Check not run"
-
Where you see it:
The Check step of a booking, with "Couldn’t run the compliance check right now — try again in a moment." A variant reads "The check didn't run — try again in a moment."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The check could not be completed this time, so the post has no result. Nothing was used or charged.
-
How to fix it:
Press Run the compliance check again. If it keeps failing, check your connection and reload the page.
"Your post is waiting for a person"
-
Where you see it:
A notification on the website, and a message from the bot if your notification settings allow it. On the Check step the row reads "[Onflow Terms] The picture or video could not be checked automatically, so a person is reviewing this post before it can be booked. We will notify you when they have looked — then run the check again."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
An attached picture or video, which can be an AI picture, is being looked at by a person. The booking is held, not refused. Nothing was charged.
-
How to fix it:
Wait for the "Your post was approved" notification. Then run the check again without editing the post.
"Couldn’t start your ad post — try again."
-
Where you see it:
A booking, on the compliance check, Generate image with AI or Add to cart. A more specific reason can appear in its place, or "Couldn't reach the server. Check your connection and try again."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your ad post could not be saved, so no check ran and no picture was made. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
If a reason is shown, act on it: remove the link or button it names, or free a saved template. Otherwise check your connection and try again.
Quick helpers: overlap, proof, targeting, best day and matches
These cards cover the single-question helpers: Check overlap in the cart, What does this prove? on an order, Targeting copilot, Best day to go live and Find my best matches.
"Add another channel to compare."
-
Where you see it:
The Audience overlap panel of the Paid Promotions cart. With fewer than two placements the panel is not shown at all. A failed request says "Couldn’t check overlap right now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Overlap compares the audiences of different channels, and the cart holds only one. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Add a placement on a different channel, then press Check overlap. After the failure message, press it again.
The overlap result has no AI advice line
-
Where you see it:
The Paid Promotions cart, after Check overlap. A card says "Master unlocks this", or a line ends "— the overlap above still stands."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan. The advice line is part of Master and Ultimate.
-
Why it happens:
Below Master the result is the rows alone. On Master and Ultimate the advice is skipped when you are out of AI text actions or inside the short pause. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Decide from the rows, which are complete by themselves. For more unique reach, drop one channel of a "Likely same audience" pair. Press again later for the advice.
"Couldn’t explain this right now."
-
Where you see it:
The proof trail of a Paid Promotions order, after What does this prove?
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The explanation could not be written, or the trail has nothing in it yet. The action went back to your allowance. The proof itself is not affected.
-
How to fix it:
Open the proof trail again later and press the button once more. The proof rows are the evidence either way.
"Pick a content level first."
-
Where you see it:
The Topic step of the Subscriber Exchange ad builder, after Targeting copilot. Related: "Choose a content level." and, when the request fails, "Couldn’t analyse targeting right now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The copilot needs a content level to count the channels your ad can reach. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Choose a content level and press Targeting copilot again. After the failure message, press again; the reach line above the button still shows the audience.
"Eligible now" shows counts but no advice
-
Where you see it:
The Subscriber Exchange ad builder, after Targeting copilot. The line reads "Eligible now: a number of a number channels at this level." with nothing under it.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The counts were read, but no advice was written this time. Nothing was used.
-
How to fix it:
Use the counts. A very small eligible number means the ad will be placed slowly: pick a broader topic or a lower content level.
"Not enough recent posts to recommend a best day yet — pick any date."
-
Where you see it:
The Schedule step when creating a Cross-Promotion campaign, after Best day to go live. Related: "Pick your channel first.", "No upcoming dates match this channel's busiest days.", "No best-day suggestion yet.", "No best-day suggestion available yet." and "Couldn't suggest a day right now."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
Your channel has too little posting history, no channel is chosen yet, or the suggestion could not be made or applied to the calendar.
-
How to fix it:
Complete the first step, then pick a date by hand. Reload the page and look at the meter. If it dropped and you got no result, tell support the time and the page you were on.
"Your channel's soonest busy posting day."
-
Where you see it:
Next to the date that Best day to go live picked for a Cross-Promotion campaign. A booking's best-time result can say "This channel's soonest busy posting day."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan for the campaign helper. Plus and above on a booking.
-
Why it happens:
The AI's own pick could not be used, so the soonest of the channel's busy days was chosen instead. The action went back to your allowance. The date is still a real busy day.
-
How to fix it:
Nothing is needed. Keep the date or change it.
There is no "Not sure who fits?" card
-
Where you see it:
The partner list of the Cross-Promotion directory, where the card with Find my best matches normally sits.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The card appears once the page knows your channel and has partners to rank. Either no channel is set, or no partner matches your current filters.
-
How to fix it:
Paste your channel into Match against your channel and press Use channel. Then widen the genre filter or clear the search.
Find my best matches shows nothing in its panel
-
Where you see it:
The Cross-Promotion directory, after pressing Find my best matches. A card says "Plus unlocks this" with "This AI feature isn’t included on this account." and See plans.
-
Plans affected:
Free and Lite.
-
Why it happens:
The shortlist is part of Plus and above. Nothing was used and the partner list is unchanged.
-
How to fix it:
Choose from the partner cards, using the fit and reliability shown on each. Or upgrade to Plus.
"Couldn’t shortlist matches right now."
-
Where you see it:
The Cross-Promotion directory, after Find my best matches. Related: "The matchmaker is unavailable right now." and "Network error."
-
Plans affected:
Plus and above.
-
Why it happens:
No usable shortlist came back, the request failed, or the helper is unavailable for a while. The action went back to your allowance.
-
How to fix it:
Press again. Widen the filters so that more partners are on the page. Otherwise choose partners from the list by hand.
"Set a budget — the search is sized to fit it."
-
Where you see it:
The Paid Promotions Channel finder. Related: "Describe your campaign and set a budget." and, on a result, "Read from the words in your brief as what was understood. The plan itself was ranked on live catalogue numbers, not by the AI."
-
Plans affected:
Plus and above.
-
Why it happens:
No budget is set, or the brief is too short. The "Read from the words" line means the AI did not read the brief this time; the search still ran, and no action was used.
-
How to fix it:
Enter a budget and write a fuller brief, or clear it. If the reading is off, adjust the filters by hand. See Channel finder.
After a review: decisions and your reliability score
These cards cover what you may see after a person has reviewed a post or a request, and one card in the Cross-Promotion directory that mentions AI.
"Your post was reviewed"
-
Where you see it:
A notification on the website. A message from the bot and an email follow if your notification settings allow them. A decision on an appeal you sent is titled "Your appeal was reviewed". It says "A person reviewed your kind of post. The decision stands, so it cannot run as it is."
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A post that was held or appealed was reviewed and refused. That post cannot run unchanged. Your AI allowance is not involved.
-
How to fix it:
Read the reviewer's note, change the post or the picture, and submit it again.
Your Reliability page lists "AI misuse" or "AI abuse"
-
Where you see it:
The history on your Reliability page. The table on that page lists "AI misuse" and "AI abuse" with the size of each.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
A person reviewed how you used the AI tools and confirmed a breach. "AI misuse" is AI-made copy or a picture used in a scam or spam campaign. "AI abuse" is an attempt to get banned content from the AI tools. Your reliability score dropped. A lower standing can shrink your AI allowance and switch images off.
-
How to fix it:
If the entry is wrong, appeal it: see Appealing a penalty or a decision. Otherwise rebuild the score with clean, on-time activity.
The "Your directory listing is quiet" card mentions an AI redraft
-
Where you see it:
A card in the Cross-Promotion directory, shown when your own listing has had no partner request for a while.
-
Plans affected:
Every plan.
-
Why it happens:
The card suggests a sharper pitch line. Its button opens the List my channel tab; it does not rewrite anything for you, and nothing is used.
-
How to fix it:
Open the List my channel tab and rewrite your Pitch by hand. Say plainly what your channel covers and who reads it.
